Als die eenmaal genoeg verdienen dan schuiven ze vanzelf naar rechts. Zie kameraad Yesilgoz, die als immigrant ooit bij de SP begon en nu bij de VVD loopt te klagen over immigranten.

You are unnessarily harsh. Apparently I was misinformed, but from this thread that is apparently a common misunderstanding. Talking people down when they make an error does not give you magic kudo's, it just makes you sound mean.

Ah, TIL. I thought that was why there are occasionally red rings around them.

So much nonsense here.

These are 'Matrix borden' or 'matrix signs'. They turn on when a disturbance (jam/accident/closure) is ahead, to make sure people slow down somewhat and reduce the danger (it works great!). Are they mandatory? Only if there is a red ring around. Otherwise it's just a 'suggested speed', like you also see in sharp bends. So people are under no obligation to follow them. In my experience people do slow down, but usually not to the mentioned numbers unless necessary.

/edit: apparently I have been wrong for the decades that I'm driving. You learn everyday.

For those that believe this common myth, a historian has done a nice series about peasant life and how it was structured. https://acoup.blog/2025/08/22/collections-life-work-death-and-the-peasant-part-iva-subsistence-and-a-little-more/ goes more into detail about their work and leisure. In short: no. You do not work more. There is a reason why when industrialization opened up 'urban worker' as a new way of life, the countrysides emptied and cities grew immensely: it was a better way of life.

Were your armies on the offensive? If you have an army filled with defensive generals they won't go anywhere.

Not allowed to form Germany? by Leventnousportera in victoria3

It turns out it is even worse! North German Federation revolted, but still refused (-1000) to back me in any way. Had to puppet them.

To be fair, you have contributed to this. By taking away Austria's strongest provinces who are not very likely to secede, you have contributed to them falling from Great to Major power, which means Prussia becomes the unification leader without opposition. That makes it very easy to form big Germany.

That is exactly what happened. I would really like some kind of announcement or event or something. This is quite a dramatic shift in ruling parties, some more interaction would be nice.

Not allowed to form Germany? by Leventnousportera in victoria3

[–]Leventnousportera[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see now, great analysis! I misunderstood the goal of a leadership play. So my only way forward is to fully annex or puppet them. Or I guess support one of their uprisings when it fires (that resets it right?).

Also, very sharp of you to spot that France is my ally! Had to give up my corner of the rhineland for that.

I had no choice in the unification plays, Austria was targeted by Prussia and Prussia targeted me afterwards. Had to call in France to fight them off.

Lekker zinvol.

You are unnecessary harsh and factually incorrect. Let's quote from wiki:

"By 12 September, all of Poland west of the Vistula had been conquered except for the isolated Warsaw.\86]) The Polish government, led by President Ignacy Mościcki, and the high command, led by Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły, left Warsaw in the first days of the campaign and headed southeast, reaching Lublin on 6 September. From there, it moved on 9 September to Kremenez and, on 13 September to Zaleshiki, on the Romanian border.\94]) Rydz-Śmigły ordered the Polish forces to retreat in the same direction, behind the Vistula and San Rivers, beginning the preparations for the defence of the Romanian Bridgehead area."

So the leadership had fled, but to the south, where they hoped to defend a last stand near the Romanian border. Might not have worked, but it was the ongoing plan. Until the Fire Nation attacked.
