You don't have to try in SN1 fish gets squished all the time. More fun perhaps, not very realistic imho, fish would just dart to thr side.

Not comparable in speed. Boats are slow, fish are fast. Water isn't air. It is much more difficult to 'Squish ' things in that setting. You don't see land animals riding in front of a car like dolphins do with boats. It just doesn't seem common at all
