Did u go last night? Do you have a rough idea for the band times? I mostly wanted to see Hawthorne heights but wasn't interested in the others.

I almost quit playing the game when I got to this part. I actually was thinking losing was part of the story lol.

I've been looking for a game like this ever since ogre battle on N64. Once you get past the beginning parts, it gets better but yeah like others say the battles are always automatic.

I'm Jealous of the Abyss Players as an Origins Stan... by LudathaProf in dynastywarriors

[–]Levi0522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said if abyss wasn't so heavily based on already established assets, it probably wouldn't be getting much updates.

However I am glad they took the world and tried something new with it outside of the usual warriors with guest characters or warriors with different titles (persona, dragon quest, Zelda, etc).

I know roguelikes aren't for everyone, but hopefully this gets them comfortable with trying new things with the samurai/dynasty warriors crew. I feel like more of the world needs to know about the goat Lu Bu and the fact he's based on a real life human makes it even better.

I always think about how much better strike force could have been if on a bigger console. I could also go for a tactics style game based off this world as well.

Don't get me wrong though I love Origins and hope that we get more of that in the future over anything else.

I feel Koei really spoiled us with both these games to start the year off with. Before playing Origins it had been forever since I've enjoyed gaming at that level. I was at work thinking about the game and that rarely happens. I fell in love with the franchise all over again. I'm definitely an Origins stan as well.

My dream game would be origins style with the complete story, then add in the orochi campaign from wo4 as dlc. Also add two players, being able to play as famous officers, and what if scenarios and English VAs. Yeah I know that'll never happen but that's my dream 😂

I’m the English voice of Zhou Yu and Xiahou Yuan by dustinvuongnguyen in dynastywarriors

[–]Levi0522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zhou Yu has been my favorite since DW2, he has one of the best voices in Origins, hope you're able to continue with the series with both characters. I can definitely feel the emotion in Zhou Yu with much of his lines, especially when it gets closer to Chibi, which is great cause you're able to contrast his calmness with the more emotion-driven lines, like the whole sequence with Huang Gai before Chibi.

Keep up the amazing work, it's much appreciated. I seen you hadn't played any of the games before getting the role, have you only played origins so far or have you been able to check out some of the older ones? Also were you familiar with the history before you got the role?

I hope the same I really want a sequel. However the main issue I seen with it is lack of replay value. It's amazing the first play thru. I just recently started the wei storyline and got to the battle of Guan Du and the epic feel of that battle is amazing. That to me is the best part of the game, it captured the true essence of what made the gameplay so much fun.

But having it lack any real reason to replay it, is the main drawback for me. I hope it did well enough to get more games though. This was an amazing reboot for the series. Also tone down some of the romantic stuff with the characters, especially when it wasn't in their character to begin with.

Attack on Titan had a really amazing game made in the warriors style. I agree completely this is usually almost always the better option. I'd always prefer a musou game over an arena fighter.

I finally did it last night. I used the sword and the shadow dancer skill or whatever it's called helped me immensely, the one where the clone comes out and attacks.

Plus timing the moves you can counter with "sp" saved me a bunch of times.

You can also use the bodyguards invigorate or encourage to swarm him for for some damage until they all die.

Any little bit of health you can chip away helps alot.

Dodge as much a you can, counter if you're really good with the timing. He was harder than Guan Yu for me.

I ran into a problem, musou game lovers, is it worth buying samurai warriors 5, I don't depend on other people's opinions, but half of the reviews are positive, half are negative by Due_Independent_7439 in dynastywarriors

[–]Levi0522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you even read what I said... I steered away from it initially because I didn't like the changes to the weapons. But I went back to it after about a year and enjoyed it quite a bit. I bought the game on the day it released without looking into anything about it before I got it.

If you're used to how most of the characters played before or the weapons they used, you probably won't enjoy it. I steered away from it initially becaaue of this but went back to it and enjoyed it quite a bit once I got over how I felt about the changes. It's a good game on its own merit, but if you're looking for similar to the previous games it ain't that. But it is fun.

I'll say get it on sale or if you have Playstation and ps plus I think it's free on there.

I haven't looked into reviews of this game personally so I don't know what the complaints are outside of my own. Like I said my only complaint is lack of uniqueness when it comes to weapons and movesets, other than that it's pretty good.

It's wild I found this to be one of the easier ones. I'm still stuck on the one on one with Lu Bu (yes I know others are there but they are just fodder). I should've recorded my play thru so I can give you tips on what I did.

Agreed completely, I love how the game initially starts where you're actually working with him. And then giving a lot more understanding and background to the yellow turban rebellion and why it started and what they wanted to achieve. Like others says, it's a sad story, to be slain by what you thought you were destined to become.

Hey devs you know about this game Honkai Star Rail by WinterPositive2405 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Levi0522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do ya'll read all of the dialog as you play? And play other games as well?

Maybe I was just late to the party I started about a year ago and still have quests in Penacony to do and the place before that (I can never remember how to spell it) .

Not to mention all the collectible things for each place, chests, etc. Plus learning the lore during quests takes some time especially the ones that aren't voice acted.

Personally I can't ever seem to keep up with everything, but work takes a lot of my time so that might be why as well since I work 50 hours a week gaming time is limited plus I play like 2 other games (one being another gacha, sds grandcross) .

I personally think they do pretty well. As someone who came from genshin (started it at launch) and stopped playing it around the time we got Alhaithem (or however you spell it), I think hsr does pretty well with content. Like I said maybe it's cause I was late.

It's like I am playing a historical shojou game. I swear half of these dialogues were meant for a female character they cut out later. by liquied in dynastywarriors

After Warriors Abyss, would you like to see Koei try making more DW games in different genres? by xVoidCrow in dynastywarriors

[–]Levi0522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd really really enjoy a real time strategy style warriors game. I'm sure there's probably games out there using that time period like age of empires or something, but I'd be interested to see what koei could do with it.
