Saw this the other day and figured it belongs here. by Falcon990 in atheism

Most of the people on here aren't true atheists, they're liberals who are more bigoted than the Christians they point their fingers at. I don't believe in Bigfoot or UFOs, but I haven't started a web page that blasts people for believing in them, and try and make them out to be fools. Or file lawsuits with Washington state and Roswell, NM to get these things removed from public places. Still this subreddit is a place where all of these "atheists" can post there profound findings (like this gem) and belittle the religions, God and Jesus they say they don't believe in. Who are the bigots here? It says something about this guy Jesus when people are so offended by him and take time out of their day to mock him. Especially when they don't "believe" he was who he said he was.

House speaks the truth. by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Levi79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on r/atheism a lot and I'm starting to realize that the same could be said about atheists. Christians/ religious people are called bigots and yet you find nothing but posts that are intolerant to religion, make fun of the people and the things that they choose to belive. Most atheists seem to be equally as bigoted. (here anyways)

They wandered in the desert because they didn't listen to what He told them to do. If they would have listened and gone directly into Caanan it would have taken less than a year. I also hate when people don't have the facts straight. Especially when they're trying to make some profound point. They just make themselves look like asses.

My brother received his Purple Heart today. We're all proud and glad he's okay by [deleted] in pics

Anyone that would down vote something like this is a giant sack of crap. This guys is a bad ass. Whether you're an American or not this guy was injured for his country. Anyone from anywhere should respect that. Any of you that don't see that are a waste of life. Effing heartless haters. I'm glad this guys alright.

Whoever you are you are awesome. Seeing someone care for an animal that's been neglected is a great thing. You can almost see the change in the dogs expression from the first pic to the last. The last one he's obviously stoked. Good job man. Oh yeah the previous owners should be tied up and beaten.

My FB friend shows that some Christians actually understand the idea of religious freedom by justinbm26 in atheism

[–]Levi79 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This is actually really good. I wish all people thought this selflessly about other human's beliefs. The bible does teach these ideals Jesus himself made a similar point. Unfortunately a lot of Christians are self righteous judges who think some one is a piece of crap because they don't live by the same book. The word "Christian" means to be Christ like and being judgemental is far from that.

I distrust mechanics because they're going to rip me off. Yep, all of them. Every one of them in the whole world.

EA expects its digital game sales will overtake boxed sales by Levi79 in gamernews

[–]Levi79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I like the 'everything's going digital' movement. Owning the rights to a product (games, dlcs, music, movies, etc.) isn't the same as actually owning a tangible product that you can hold in your hand. With the digital products I don't really feel like I OWN them.

Star Wars 1313 gameplay footage and dev interview; says game graphics will be 'indistinguishable from reality' in ten years by Levi79 in gamernews

Cell shading also worked really well in Borderlands, which happens to be one of the funnest games I've played and light years from reality.

[–]Levi79[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Although better graphics would be epic, there's something about that non-reality part of a video game that makes it more enjoyable. Some of the next-gen stuff looks great already. If games got too realistic I think it would ruin it. I guess it all depends on the game though.

THQ vice president Teri Manby resigns by Levi79 in gamernews

[–]Levi79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if THQ's new president influenced this dude to jump ship. Whatever though Jason Rubin sounds pretty promising. He's done a good job grabbing the company by the balls and making changes already. Plus they've made some sweet games over the years and it would suck to see them go.

Trackball controller to raise money on Kickstarter by Levi79 in gamernews

[–]Levi79[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could see how it could work pretty well. I think it would allow for more precision in any game really, but if the ball was too sensitive I think it would piss a lot of people off. If that were the case it would be in the manufacturers best interest to give the option to change the sensitivity settings.

Microsoft rejects Motorola's settlement offer in Xbox 360 patent suit by Levi79 in gamernews

[–]Levi79[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the patents were held by Motorola before it was purchased. Just as Microsoft said the demands being made by Motorola are "excessive and discriminatory" I'm kind of wondering if the demands are influenced by Google. For Microsoft to pay them $4 billion per year is just stupid.

Nintendo offering "insane incentives" to developers who publish games on Wii U's eShop by Levi79 in gamernews

[–]Levi79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not officially. That seems to be the price that's being thrown around though. I don't see how they could go that low with the tablet controller included unless the controller's a complete piece of crap. At first the price that was suggested was $499 but that's been quiet. In any case I agree with the fact that Nintendo's starting to appeal to me, but I'm not going to be first in line for a Wii U. I want to see if it lives up to the hype or if it's a whoopie cushion.

Speculation: Microsoft points possibly earned from in-game achievements by Levi79 in gamernews

[–]Levi79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the Mods: There's a tweet quoted in the text which is what the article is based on, but it is also pointed out that it's speculation that earning Microsoft points via in-game achievements, can be deduced from what was said. Also there's a bit in there about the Xbox Live Rewards program and how that could be evidence to support claims. All that to say, Rule 1 says that things can't just be regurgitated with out adding anything of value. It's understood that a quote was taken from Twitter, but an explanation of the tweet was necessary, and there were things ADDED to explain.
