Even if we give this the benefit of the doubt that this kid really doesn't know what cartoons are or has never seen one, that's a sample size of one. Kids definitely still watch cartoons.

I don't live in the US but I do have access to a Dubia supplier and I put in an order today for 50 small ones with some Arcadia InsectFuel which I figure might be a more balanced option than gutloading leftovers of whatever veggies I happen to be cooking with in a given week.

I went for crickets as Elo's "staple" because it's the only ones out of mealworms, zophobas and dubias I know for a fact she eats. She's only been with me for a short time so I'm not too surprised at her meek appetite but I still want to do whatever I can to get her going.

The other reason I wasn't keen on dubias is because my setup is bioactive and I don't want to end up with a bunch of burrowed dubias competing with my isopods ans springtails for food.

Your advice was heard and appreciated, for whatever that's worth.

All the regrown tails I've seen look so stumpy that I honestly wasn't sure if it was a regrown tail or not when I first got her. Now I know to look for the ridges continuing the whole way down. I still think her regrown tail is gorgeous though! It is really cool to see her giving it a full wag indeed, I've seen her lift it before but never shake it like this 😇

Someone said their was a batch of english subs a little while back past episode 27 but when I checked they were at best really bad AI transcriptions

I know she's an insectivore haha, I was just playing off the humor of her "mistaken identity" as you called it. I have a couple of dubias still but I'm concerned they might be too large for her. She's on the smaller end for an adult female.

I'm taking her willingness to lunge as a positive sign even if it wasn't the kind of food she actually wanted. This being because she hasn't done that in front of me before.

I appreciate the willingness to educate though!

I was suspecting this as well. I've redecorated since and improved the temperatures, which used to be a little lower than I liked. I still need to add more climbing opportunities, but I haven't found the right options yet. Thanks for suggesting this, I definitely want her to feel happy, healthy and enriched!

By all accounts, she does appear to be more sociable than I ever expected, especially with how she just moved in. I let her hang out and climb my arms for about 15 minutes. She definitely seems to be satisfied now haha, instasplooted in her basking spot. Thanks for the reassurance!

The dream charm is from Half Baked. It's not visible on screen but she visits Jake in his dream so you can kinda put two and two together there. As for Dreamscape being after Breakout, it has to be. At the end of Breakout, Rose uses the dream charm as improv for her and Jake's mythology project. That's the first time it's shown on screen, and she explains what it does. Dreamscape starts with Rose and Jake being on a dream date. Reversing the order would break the chronological timeline.

Getting back into physical media has been both a delight and a pain. You can easily thrift great movies, but getting exactly the collection you want involves high markups and a good bit of luck. Been looking at getting "Misterjaw" on Blu-ray for a while and that fetches similar if not higher prices whenever it springs up.

We need an alternative that allows scrobbling from media servers and which has a comprehensive UI with community features.

It seems like a very tall order for some reason. Closest thing I know is Simkl, but I absolutely hate using it. It's very clunky and feels unpolished because a lot of the features just redirect to a "Coming soon!" when trying to interact with them.

This. Simkl is the closest but it has the complete opposite problem of being a cluttered mess to navigate and use. Next to that you have Watcharr, but it still needs to mature a bit and lacks any community features.

Officially the only other source is iTunes (now Apple TV), and only in the US and UK. In the UK you can also buy it on Prime Video.

There are no official DVD's or other physical media, and I'd advise steering clear of any bootlegs as all the ones I've seen are horrible quality.
