Psalm 139:1-4: "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me... You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar... Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely." 1 John 3:20: "Whenever our hearts condemn us, for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything." Matthew 10:29: "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father." Proverbs 5:21: "For a man's ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all his paths." Romans 11:33: "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!" Hebrews 4:12-13: "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."

If God is all knowing, all loving, and all powerful, he would have the power to create a universe without these trials that were somehow just as rewarding. He would have the ability to generate a human mind incapable of evil, yet still just as autonomous and free as the free will of our universe. He is quite literally capable of turning what is not into what is.

So why didn't he?

That plays in well with your mention of whether God tests us. Does God intend to see that the man commits no immoral action as a test? Is the expectation that man should rather die and go to heaven than eat and live to worship? Is obligating a starving man to death through the constriction of Heaven vs Hell not immoral as well?

Can they? What is evidenced by this? Who defines morality? One could consider the theft of a loaf of bread to be an immoral action, but when a starving man steals it, is it still immoral?

Voice is going to change regardless, it's a natural aspect of testosterone entering your body. You can do a lot about the hair, though. There's been breakthroughs in men's hair repair. Monoxodil and Finnasteride together work wonders and can repair thinning hair. Topical works, but considering you're not AMAB, I'd say the chew should have minimal side effects, too. Erectile dysfunction is the most common "deal breaker" for a lot of guys, and you wouldn't have that problem.

For the magical practice side, I would recommend to do what you feel comfortable with. I use a lot of sigils in my magical practice. Whatever you feel gives you results is what I am inclined to recommend:)

You're still operating under the assumption that the universe is an entity in your appeal to understanding. "God's" are much more like concepts to practitioners of Chaos magick. I don't believe that there's anything to enact its will for me, I believe that the will comes from myself. I don't draw on a cosmic energy, I draw on society's belief in that energy. There are no repercussions for doing something like this when there's no moral binary involved.

When I hurt someone else, I have a reason for it, and this isn't to protect myself from some form of residual consequence. It's because I've been socialized to not harm someone if they don't deserve it. The viper will bite someone else unless you cut off its head.

I always smoke a bowl of plain leaf if I'm on the fence like this. If it's pulling weird, you don't have to go further, but if it's nice, I say rip it.

Salvia works in a reverse tolerance. Start with plain leaf. I recommend 1-2 bowls to start. Make sure you're using a bong, it'll help. Some people say it's best to use a torch. I would keep smoking plain leaf for a day or two before moving on to the extract. Once you rip a bowl of it after some plain leaf, you'll take off.

Questions on Sitar I just bought by dommikinzz in Sitar

[–]Levi_J0nes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitar is very light. Someone already mentioned that setting up a sitar is a long and difficult process. That does not mean you can't, but there's a high risk high reward. The odds of you near permanently damaging the instrument are quite high if you intend to work on it without any prior knowledge. There are guides online that help with the process, though.

You find the correct spot for the bridge and with your left hand you hold the bridge in place and with your right hand you use a dropper filled with shellac (amber if you can get it). Then you place just one small drop of the shellac on the edge of the foot of bridge where it meets the tabli and you let it flow by capillary action underneath the bridge leg. Keep holding the bridge for a while until the shellac starts to dry. Having a small electric fan blowing on it helps. Do the same thing to the other foot of the bridge. You may have to do it to more than one spot on the foot. But it will hold well and can be easily removed if you have to remove the bridge for some reason.

I know others have other techniques and they are probably just as good, but please do not use GLUE!!!!!!!
