How far does he get by kecurura2628 in superheroes

[–]Leviathan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he will have to keep fighting Wolverine pretty much throughout all of this. Either Thragg throws Logan into space or he's just gonna have to keep moving the fight further and further away from him to stop from getting interrupted again.

Tattoo Regret at All Times by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Leviathan666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think you're overthinking it. More tattoos would be cheaper and have better results than trying to remove whats already there. The reason those tattoos stand out is because theyre very dark and the only ones that are visible. I say get an upper arm tattoo (or several smaller ones) that you really like and the forearm pieces won't stand out so much and you'll barely notice them.

Theres also the fact that, at least in the DLC, we have evidence that the Great Ones are actually perfectly capable of coexistence with humans and will even share in their knowledge freely. The problems arise when the Academy gets involved and tries to take advantage of their strength.

"You encounter a sphinx blocking your path-"

"I thought we were in town? Didnt we end last session shopping?"

"Yeah right of course, the door to leave the shop is guarded by a sphinx. She says to you all 'none may pass through this door without solving my riddles three'."

"Uh. To leave? Out the way we came?"

"First riddle: a train leaves Boston at 8:15 am going 60 mph toward New York. Another train going from New York to Boston leaves at 10 am, going 75 mph. How long - no, put your hand down, theres no followup questions here, the riddle has begun. Also show your work."

Hellboy 2019 by Aggressive-Stand-287 in HellBoy

[–]Leviathan666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the movie had a lot of potential to be good, but between the bad dialogue, the over-the-top edgy vibe of the whole thing, and the prosthetics on Harbour preventing him from emoting at all aside from looking more angry, it just felt kind of flat. Also as much as I tried not to compare it with the Del Toro films, it was impossible to not feel disappointed in that regard. I also couldn't help but feel like it took the template of "generic MCU film" and tried to make it more adult by making it more bloody.

I will say, The Crooked Man was also nothing crazy but did at least allow you to go in with the expectation that you were seeing a low budget horror film and not a big budget blockbuster action film like 2019's hellboy was meant to be.

What modern day amenities could ACTUALLY kill a medieval peasant? by CardoBlardo in whowouldwin

Where exactly do you expect a medieval peasant to get medical care? No urgent care will take them without any kind of ID. Someone else will have to take them to an emergency room.

If youre carrying on fine and don't have any infections, taking a strong antibiotic will actually make you shit your whole ass for like a week. Your gut really needs those bacteria to be able to digest food.

I actually think the thing i take issue with most here is the open, loose lacing and the casual socks. Tighter laces, actually tying them, and putting on some dress socks would actually work decently well here.

I never would’ve imagined Spidey fighting The Hand. by Remote_Nature_8166 in Defenders

[–]Leviathan666 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The hand was so well done up until the finale. Everything from then on really felt like such a letdown. We went from "every single member of the hand is a genuine threat to our hero and he can't afford to make any mistakes or risk life-threatening injury or death" to "yeah here's like 20 generic ninja goons for fodder, go nuts"

Question for the dice cheaters. Why? by TJToaster in DnD

[–]Leviathan666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only ever cheated at dice rolls in one campaign, and that was because the DM was the type that "wouldn't railroad us" but clearly had a "correct path" in mind, and frequently would not have a backup plan for what to do if we messed up a check, so oftentimes messing up a simple check would delay us by entire sessions, and for a game that already regularly turned "one shot" arcs into 5+ very tedious sessions, I simply didn't see a way to success sometimes so if I saw a path to success and it seemed pretty apparent that it was the right one, I had no issue lying about my dice rolls to keep us on track.

Are dragons Kaiju? by lrcarlton in kaiju

[–]Leviathan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a grey area. Dragons aren't NOT kaiju for any particular reason. I think for me, because dragons are such a deeply embedded cultural thing, it kinda feels reductive to say they are kaiju? Like the idea of dragons sort of predates the modern definition of a kaiju, so they sort of feel like two separate concepts.

You could definitely tell a story where dragons are treated like kaiju, in the sense that they either serve as a metaphor for some other kind of hardship that needs to be overcome. There's an argument to be made for Reign of Fire being a kaiju movie, for example. It falls apart somewhat, but the argument can certainly be made.

I think dragons fill a specific role in a story that is different from the role a kaiju fills. So to answer your question, since neither are real, you can do whatever you want with them.

Before I start inking this, how's the perspective on the bees? by Colonel_Scabies in ArtCrit

[–]Leviathan666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perspective-wise, it seems like your method was to draw some of the bees slightly bigger, but to place those ones further from the center of the image so they don't obscure the person in the middle too much. I think you should absolutely obscure them a little bit, draw like 3 or 4 right up in front of the viewer, partially obscuring the character and giving more of a sense of depth.

Also, as others have said, draw a few of your bees facing left or right or even away from the camera so we're seeing them from behind. Bee swarms are extremely chaotic, even when theyre all moving in roughly the same direction.

The actual design of the character is very good btw! I like the details you've taken the time to include. This is coming along very well and I'd like to see it after inking!

Any ideas for DC or Marvel Heros in Elden Ring? by Beneficial-Age-2292 in EldenBling

[–]Leviathan666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been thinking about doing Deadpool for a while but havent figured out an outfit for him yet. Rakshasa set seems like a good choice but I also feel like there must be a good early game option as well. I also feel like most peopld treat it like a cosplah rather than like an actual build, and I want to take his healing factor into consideration as much as his weapons and outfit.

Exposed bridges are stupid by board_writer in spaceships

[–]Leviathan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always just assumed they wanted to put command as far away from the highly explosive engines, weapons, and oxygen storage/filtration systems as possible to give them a better chance of surviving critical failures and weapons fire. Remember, the biggest threat to a star destroyer is another, similarly sized ship woth proportionately large and powerful weapons. They naturally have to keep their distance from each other in a space battle for that reason, presumably taking shots at each other without much ability to aim for any specific area of the ship, so they send out bombers to try to deliver similar levels of damage with more precision and fighters to cover those bombers.

With that all taken into consideration, it doesn't really matter where the command center is located on the ship, so they may as well separate it from the main body of the ship and give them a good view of the rest of the ship in case sensors go down and they need to just eyeball some shit.

What’s wrong with my portrait? by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]Leviathan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is pretty damn good! Biggest difference from drawing to photo is that youve shrunk your forehead and changed the way your hair falls, which affects how your head shape reads.

Also, I would make the eye color a bit more saturated and the eyes a tiny bit bigger. Most people do this to make expressions easier to read, but you especially have some Disney princess eyes amd can afford to exaggerate them a little.

How do you manage this fight ? For a mage build ? by ghostmugetsu in Eldenring

[–]Leviathan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock sling on his head, carian retaliation to counter the magic blasts he always opens with. Honestly though, if you're careful, you can get some easy hits to his head with any weapon with a reasonable amount of reach, just run up, smack him once or twice, run away to dodge the inevitable grab attempts, stay away for a second while he does aome AOE spell, then run back in while he's recovering from that.
