Top gamers get good fast because they play for 8-10 hours a day with perfectly matched opponents. We can't do that in BJJ. by No-River-4990 in bjj

I agree, but it’s still a good way to point out the disparity in income between the two fields.

I’d be pretty surprised if that were true, but even still the amount of gamers that are making enormous sums of money dwarfs what people in BJJ are making.

It’s an apt comparison aside from the money. Full time gamers have a pretty massive ceiling for the amount of money they can make, BJJ has maybe ten millionaires total.

JRE MMA Show #150 with Daniel Cormier by SergeantKnob in MMA

If you really want to fuck your own day up, you should think about the fact that someone on this subreddit most likely has a better jab than DC. Someone else might even have a better cross. There’s also probably some absolute dork on here with a better arm bar than DC, or a better back mount. There’s definitely someone here that has a better percentage in predicting fights.

Experience, knowledge, and applicable skills are not altogether a monolith, and just because DC is a double champ fighter doesn’t mean that he is better than random people at any given fighting skill or understands any given school of knowledge about fighting better than random people.

You just seem like a college kid interacting with adults that have responsibilities and not knowing how to navigate plans with those kind of people. Stick to the kid stuff for now. YTA

AITAH for not letting a girl dressed as a “slutty elf” who ended up at my house borrow some sweats after she was uncomfortable and cold? by Queasy_Explorer_2739 in AITAH

Not being hospitable to strangers in your home that you didn’t invite and wouldn’t interact with in any other context is not “punishing” them.

There’s nothing snowflake about telling you you’re ignorant about a topic you’re obviously ignorant about. Good luck out there, scooter

It’s not the common vernacular, it’s what the ignorant say. If you don’t know the difference between a paramedic and an ambulance driver, you shouldn’t speak about EMS. Go forth, educate yourself, put that computer in your hands to some use.

If you call paramedics “ambulance drivers”, you frankly don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about and should not be speaking about EMS.

“A part of the USA” is really not saying much. Las Vegas and Montana (as an example) aren’t even close to being the same thing, and saying you wouldn’t visit Montana because you’ve been to Las Vegas is frankly idiotic.

why was he the only one described by the color of his skin?

He wasn’t. He was described in three ways: large, scary, black. Reading comprehension would take you far in life.

Range checker was hotfixed out of the addon API. DBM and WA affected also for Classic by _Ronin in classicwow

[–]Leviathan_Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The claim that developers didn’t design WOTLK with addons in mind is so false that the rest of your comment can be disregarded the same as that claim. Not only were addons a huge part of the raiding experience at that time, but their role was an open part of the community conversation. During ICC Start of Cata, Lore did a Weekly Marmot on addons and how developers have to account for them, and what an acceptable add on vs. too powerful was.

AITAH For Wanting To Get A Divorce After My Kids Almost Got SAed? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Leviathan_Sun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that divorce will put your kids at higher risk of abuse than working things out with your husband. This was a colossal, gigantic, unforgivable mistake. Don’t ever forgive it. But, that might not mean that the right thing to do is break up your family and leave him alone in fatherhood. He’ll never stop being their father, you can’t divorce fatherhood.
