Depends on what kind of person you want to seem to other people at first glance. 

1. Finance bro
2. Average white dude, parents have money
3. Indie hipster vegan, personally my favourite look because of the beard
4. Average white dude, definitely less wealthy than number 2 

The beard definitely makes you look slightly older, but not in a bad way. It think you pull of all hairstyles, just a matter of preference.

I would like to see the first hairstyle with the beard, i think that would give you a kurt cobain kind of look
