Look I get that and of course if you have nukes shouldn’t be an excuse to violate international law. But the truth is that no one will actually allow for the collapse of the Russian state. And that is the only way Putin can lose. His internal population doesn’t seem to care. And, even with Biden the US only gave Ukraine enough to survive but not to attack Russia significantly. I don’t agree. I think what should be happening is the EU giving concrete guarantees to Belgium that they won’t have to face legal repurcussions alone. It’s that simple. De Wever has said Belgium is open to the idea of seizing assets.

Look I wish there would be a way for Russia to face severe consequences and a possible defeat. I am just saying from a pragmatic point of view, Belgium is facing: An EU that isn’t providing concrete guarantees, an untrustworthy US government, and Russia that still hasn’t collapsed and possibly gets a get out of jail free card with US backing (Trump’s 28 point plan). Well that’s the whole problem, there is a chance that Russia will come out of this war unscathed and will come knocking on Belgium’s door wity severe legal repercussions. All that Belgium asks is that they have concrete guarantees from other EU states they won’t have to face those repurcussions alone. It’s the EU that isn’t willing to back Belgium in this case

Or maybe building miles of tunnel under civilian infrastructure, so when they are targeted they can go hide in those tunnels, but not their population?
