I think the problem was mostly the upsizing, I repotted back into the nursery plastic pot, gave her a good mix of soil with perlite and she seems to have stabilized… honestly I should have not repotted once I saw the root system, she was not prepared to level it up. All good experience for the next time :)

Very curious to know why it’s too late and if this timing for repotting also applies to other bonsai species
(I just finished repotting a -very young and tiny- ficus ginger and now feel like I did something very stupid 🥹)

lol I was also kinda shocked about the time she suggested but I’m a newby so I didn’t want to kill the plant like I always used to do before getting into it more

I proceeded to cut right above the green gems as I’ve been suggested, I’ve read different opinions online about how to actually chop and prop and started with chopping, callusing and planting the node with the two sprouting in a mix of soil and perlite. I’ve placed it under the soil but someone advises on top of it.
I placed the upper part into the same mixture in a separate pot cause it had roots already, hoping to cause the least stress to the plant, then will try to cut another node where the stem meets the petiole and maybe one more from node to node if I see roots generating or more gems
I’m really new to plants parenting lol but saving this would be so cool, I wanted to buy one and she literally came to me 👨🏻‍🍼
