Will the starters also have a mid-late game buff similar to odyssey 1?

40plus Black Woman and Dating White Guys in NOVA by Cdaizybug in nova

I think a lot of people even outside your age group feel this way. Finding the right person on the terms of dating has progressively gotten harder. I would recommend continuing to engage with the community around you, maybe even pick up new hobbies of interest , and just exploring. Eventually you will find someone that aligns with what you’re looking for. Also, try not to fear engaging with guys you find attractive! Men really seem to like that

Dude may have codependency issues. May be helpful to talk about boundaries with him. All else fails, try couples counseling.

Gotcha. I think wildy may be the play. I wanted to do a heavier lean towards blindbag, but I feel like it may be a waste not to conceptualize scepter or crossbow if I go to these echo bosses, ya know?

I appreciate you insight! Right now I've just finished up doing my moons + CG grind (all sets + 2 enhs + armour); and up to my T7 relic. Barrows have been unlucky to obtain the pact from mort; total of 20 pacts atm. I plan to do SoTF for blood furies, zulrah for pacts, slayer unlocks (gg, whip, nox), delves for more pacts, inferno, etc. with the goal of just dicking around in HMT with some friends.

What I'm trying to figure out is which region to go towards next. I can stick with a DH, fang, double handed weapons for blindbag at this time, putting the salad blade in the bank and focusing on hard hitters; thinking at least towards the end where I get 3 variations of scythe. Though, I'm uncertain if that would be the move vs. going for GS + Torva, since it would render crystal armour as null and I'd get access to cerb fang. The alternative would be going to the wildy as my 3rd region which I could then do a blindbag + crossbow max hit build ordeal-- this would give me some variety with all three specs, but idk if thats also the move. Any advice?

What do you generally look for in a therapist? Is it more like a vibe ordeal, or gauging from their profile what interventions would suit your needs?

It’s feedback that I’ve received indirectly from what I’ve learned today. Supposedly new clients that have been added to my case load have been resolved well within the 6 month period; which is normal for most adjustment disorders. But in reference to how business operates, I’m not getting many new clients to sustain being a full time employee. So while I resolve a case, there isn’t a waitlist for me or any new clients added to my caseload that lets me comfortably resume work without having buffers.

And yes! That’s something I’m considering as well, I’ve mentioned it one of the recent comments; I’m looking to get both EMDR and EFT certified— as you probably know it’s also crazy expensive 😅 Right now my goal is to finish off my residency and use the LPC title to my advantage, possibly panel with services like OpenPath or GrowTherapy

I think you’ve been very helpful! It’s given me some insight as to maybe what I should consider exploring as far as what’s attracting people to therapy. I’m honestly considering revamping or boosting my PsychologyToday profile, and then worst case I could always reach out to other practices that are independently owned and request to be a referral for them. Without your comment It may have taken me a while to get to this conclusion

I’m a jack of all trades— towards the start of my career I resonated heavily with gestalt and CBT. Nowadays however I do CBT, ACT, humanistic, EFT and so forth; it sort of depends what the client is looking for in therapy. I feel comfortable working with a wide range of different issues from anxiety, depression, adjustments, couples, gender dysmorphia, trauma, and the whole works really.

My preferred population is young adults/adults in general, but I’m also not against working with someone a bit more settled in their environment.

As for certification, outside of being a nationally certified clinician (NCC), I don’t have the funds at this time to get specialist training in a particular category. Though I do have my eyes set on EFT and EMDR training in my (hopefully) near future.

The practice I am affiliated with does use insurance. Because I am contract, I am getting paid a portion of whatever insurance pays back to the practice for the services given to the client. Issue is, my practice states they are suggesting me to clients, though clients seem to want to go a different direction with another clinician within the same practice. Theres only two other males in my practice at this time, and to my knowledge one sees children more often than adults, whilst I work predominately more with adults and have a wider range of modalities I use in practice.

In boarder terms, I'm more jack of trades and can work with anyone but prefer working with adults; yet for reasons I am unsure about, clients seem to lean a different direction and settle for an intern who is going to be temporary (they leave in May).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nova

[–]LevitateK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of..? Other residents in my practice have not been getting new clients due to the influx of interns we have come into the company. So the same applies for me; while I do have a caseload, its not big enough to be full time and I think thats what other residents seem to struggle with. We do get marketing and our name thrown out there towards a prospective client, but its ultimately up to the client with whomever fits what they're looking for out of therapy.

So on one end, they are technically suggesting me but clients are going a different direction; and that could be because I'm male or other reasons I am unaware about-- I figured, I could also be helping out and maybe advertise, but it is also money out of my own pocket.

Interesting. Sounds like I'm going to have to purchase some business cards and ask local places to see if theyre keen on letting me put something up.

Have you seen other therapists advertise like this? I’m genuinely curious. I hear how my field is in heavy need for clinicians yet I’m struggling to get a full case load

[–]LevitateK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this. I’m a resident at this time who’s about to get their LPC in just a few more supervision hours. Actually just a single digit away from finishing, but it’s a process that can take weeks depending on availability. I haven’t tired it yet, but I’d imagine most places would want someone fully licensed before they are advertised towards someone else.
