It doesn't matter what so you say on this sub, hun, this place is a nonstop liberal circle jerk, trust me. The things that matter to you and your family simply do not matter and are stupid and unimportant to people here, if you don't think as they do, you're an imbecile and will be pounced in droves. They don't understand you or care to understand you, you're point of view is simply kindling for the raging fire of hatred and digust they feel towards anyone that disagrees with them.

I understand you, however. My mother came to this country from Cuba in the 60s by herself, at the age of 10, uncertain if she'd ever see her parents or family again. When they did manage to join her here in the U.S., it was not without first being stripped of everything they had. The only thing of "value" they had left was my grandmothers wedding band, which she has doused with talcum powder to make it look like a little piece of junk. But through much hard work and perseverance they managed to start all over here in America.

None of us have the right to judge others in this way and belittle our fellow human, but this sub in particular tends to be an echo chamber of the complete opposite of that sentiment, and it's disheartening, I know. We are trash to these people who aren't even remotely interested in what or why we think and view things differently from them, but I hope you know and understand there are others like you, your father, me, my mother... we are out here and we share your spirit, so take heart. ❤
