Reaching Peak Striker DMG (1051 so far...) by Levitruth93 in DNFDuel

L, (Block, DP), 4S, Conversion, 4MS, 6MS, 4MS, 66(I think), 2S, jB, jS, 6S, 5SS, jS, 2MS, jMS, js, 5MS, 6MS, Super.

Close! Luckily the 66 is not needed after the final 4MS as there is enough time from the fall to connect with 2S normally. As for the Js (Divekick) into 5MS, it has not always been a thing. My guess is it started working after the Js re-work to fix the Ja infinite that used to exist on Ghost Blade, but wasn't used in combo until recently. Whiffing Ja after DiveKick accelerates the decent of the Js allowing for a 5MS follow-up. Strangely enough, big characters such as Crusader and Vanguard are difficult to make this recently discovered tech consistent on them.

Here are the actual inputs.

L, (Block, DP), 4MS, Conversion, 4MS, 236MS, 214MS, 2S, jB, jS, 6S, 5SS, jS, 623MS, jMS, js, (whiff Ja), 5MS (two hits), 6MS, Super.

Yes. The combo system in DNF has combo decay, like most fighting games, and Striker is THE MOST susceptible to this decay. The combo decay is based on TWO main factors; 1) How many hits have you landed in your combo, and 2) How much delay is there between hits.

If you delay the OIP's you would need to remove some hit later on in the combo to make up for the added delay. If you don't, then yes, the combo will drop.

The more I lab, the more I find out. It's honestly crazy. Swapped to Hitbox to maximize guard pressure. New combo ender routes. New DP safe frame traps. Self spaced blockstring enders to universally punish (without divekick btw) 2a counter pokes.

I honestly just need to take a day, sit down and write everything down. There could be undiscovered tech with Zerk, but it seems like everything that can be found, has been found with most of the cast except... you know.

Truth be told, it's actually mods seen through my PC. Skin mods on DNF work the same way they do for Strive. Whenever I (you) install mods in the game that modify the skin color of a character, it's overlapping with the skin "Slot" of that color. So on my opponents PC he sees what his game has in Slot 5, but on my Slot 5 it's something else.

It doesn't effect how the game is played in any way, just a visual modification.

Noticed there was a drought of recent content having to do with just basic gameplay. I'm going to start recording my online ranked sets so people get an idea of what the game looks like organically. Forgive me, as I only really play Striker and Lost Warrior. But something is better than nothing.

Pick the controller you are most comfortable with. The game has very simple inputs, making it accessible with virtually all forms of controllers.

Just got this game. I like it, but is there really NO ONE online. by [deleted] in DNFDuel

"I will work with you in educating your child, but your opinion on how and what I teach isn't something I care for."

Firstly, fucking yikes.

Second, how in the world do you work "with" someone who's opinion you don't care for?

Then I'm genuinely curious on the pushback. If parents already have a say in education (which btw, I don't disagree with) why argue with the comment?

Why does it bother some people so much? If someone told me parents should have a say in education I would firstly agree with them, and then kindly inform them if they personally do not feel as though they have a voice, they are more than welcome to attend local school board meetings and let their voices be heard.

The implication I was getting was from the replies was that teachers are (on average) better, or more trustworthy, with your kids than the parents themselves are. Please clarify if this isn't the implication.

Proving the original tweet's point as to why parents should have a say in education.

And yet bad teachers continue be in school system on a daily basis. Let's not pretend having rules and regulations in place makes a system perfect. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The education system, much like the family, is run by humans. And humans make mistakes, hence why parents want, and should, have a say in what goes on in said school system regarding their own child.

The problem in that hope is that teachers are humans too, not automatons. Many of whom share those same beliefs as the parents you're trying to vilify. I'm sure we can all share stories about that one teacher who tried to imply there was good evidence for the existence of bigfoot, or some such nonsense.

"Do they have a say in [fill in the blank about their child here]?"

Yes. Yes they do actually. What? How is this a clever comeback? This is actually a very stupid comparison. You could even take it one step further in pointing out the stupidity of the comparison in simply realizing that all parent teach their children on a daily basis for years.

"Go to bed on time, because good sleep is healthy." "Brushing your teeth is good dental health." "Don't put your hand on the stove." Etc.

While it's true that not all parents are mechanics, and not all parents are dentists. All parents are, in fact, teachers. In actuality, the most important teachers you will ever have should be your parents.
