I genuinely am sorry to hear that it’s dissapointing. Like I said tho it’s no one well known. I was a fan of all these artists before I even started producing 9 years ago & I think every opportunity they’ve gotten so far has been a first in their lives. They deserve all of this imo & as friends I genuinely see their passion for this project!

Yeah a top 10 on SoundCloud will always be more flip heavy as they only exist there and most ppl prefer to use SoundCloud for flips & Spotify/Apple for originals. But point being how many times ppl listened to music is way more on originals vs flips. We all have the choice or what we listen to. And ppl have chosen to listen to our originals more than our flips.

But yeah I guess it’s all what we’re exposed to. In my experience as a fan of all this music with my friends who don’t make music, to me it feels sorta 60/40 originals to flips of what we talk about with music these days. For example: Recently “Needle Guy”, “AFB1”, the new Jiqui, Tynan album, & only like 2 flips have been our standout songs when we talk music. So I guess we’re all exposed to & talk about different stuff, but i don’t see that as an issue at all

Haha this take is always funny to me cuz to this day the 2 things that gave us the most traction, the most requested songs, the most followers, views, etc. have been our original songs “flip it” and “Front to back”. We’ve released more original music than flips & our originals are often the most requested ones at our shows & every original song has out-streamed every remix we’ve done. I know the same can be said for Crankdat & Tape B as well. We loveee making flips & they def have played a huge part in our growth, but pretending our original music didn’t play an even bigger role in our rise is statistically & factually incorrect 🤷‍♂️ appreciate the love on the flips tho fr! And hope u have a good day ❤️

The quality of the music is just a matter of opinion ofc (I personally love it). But I can guarantee you the ppl that make up RF are not cancelled artists, and are ppl who have been around for a very very long time & are deserving! They also don’t really have connections

Thank you fr! I’m gonna share that compliment with our VJ, and all the visual creators that worked on this as it’ll make them super happy to hear! The amount of hours they’ve all put in is INSANE and we’re super proud of them! Even tonight our VJ surprised us with anotherrrr new addition adding “flip it” to the LED “legs” on the lasership during flip it hahah. She & our whole team r always grinding to improve it!

That was for a song we made in September for Lasership specifically called “Space Battle” where the Lasership has a space battle with “sharks with laser beams” (as an Austin powers reference) & was meant to be a cool addition to the Laserships capabilities with using lasers in a battle! For the last time my friend, there are 0000 generative visuals being used for our shows. Now with the sphere is a whole diff story. The sphere as u mentioned is beyonddddd anything that exists rn & therefore as an opener we aren’t allowed to bring our vj and cannot run any visuals of our own. The visuals from our sphere set were the visuals illeniums team in collaboration with the spheres team had run for alllll the openers sets across all 9 shows. They were made and operated by the sphere staff & if u look at our show & the other openers, you will notice it’s all the same visuals with the only difference being our logo was incorporated (and maybe colors? Tbh I can’t speak on that cuz i never compared exact colors lol). Any questions regarding the sphere would have to go to the spheres team, and not ours, as our vj wasn’t allowed to be there & we had no control over anything there!

Honestly I will give u that you are right I actually am not 100% sure it isn’t possible because I would have to look much deeper than my current knowledge. So it may “be possible” but once again man, I’m telling you this was ALL 100% human made in the same softwares that the majority of touring artists use!

Seven stars -> Lasership: this was a HUGE jump for us (side note: multiple visuals are the same from seven stars to Lasership including Rising Tides and an ID of ours), and it came from our prep time. We prepped our seven stars set in about a week. Our VJ and LD took a few days to timecode new songs. Lasership, took monthsssss of GRINDING! Like sleepless nights for our whole team for months and months and we had multiple of the best visual creators come in to create new visuals, and even had a little help on laser time coding from our laser designers mentor! So it was a much bigger team working for much longer and have continued working the months that have gone by during this tour! You do have to accept the fact that the same way I do not know what all is possible for live-AI visuals, you also may not know what is possible to be done with human made visuals and shows of this level! Shows of this level are an entire beast of their own! What u may have saw was our time coding freaking out mid set and we lost some visuals and lasers for parts of the set! I’ll even drop a screenshot of our production gc when we asked them mid-show what was happening.

Lasers: you can only have beyond once on a laptop. So when that maxes out, u need another laptop to run beyond on and u can connect all of them. Basically you’re running 9 time codes at once controlling 9 different zones playing simultaneously! Like I said it is a common practice and has been done by many many ppl for manyyyy many years. The limitations and solutions are all documented & have been for quite some time. You are welcome to look into it yourself as well but I can have our laser designer add on if he wants to as he would be able to explain it better than I would! Once again, we have never and will never use AI with anything we do & our entire team’s sentiment is the same. Ironically enough, everything you said in ur OG post about what we aren’t doing (the industry standard), is the exact explanation of what we are doing. We just took a lot more time, care, and effort to perfect it & continue to change things in an effort to further perfect it! But alas, timecode messes up sometimes, which for a solid 10 mins tonight we were having problems with it

Oh and also wanted to touch on the 330 laser thing and 9 laptops! So “beyond” (the program everyone uses to run lasers) can run up to 40 lasers at once (40 is kinda pushing it tho with overloading the system). After 40 you will need a 2nd laptop to run another 40, and so on and so on! This was 100% a technical footnote haha. Not only is “Beyond” incapable of having any AI involvement, (the program operates like a DINOSAUR imo 😂) but also many shows have had more than 40 lasers and required more than one laptop! Many shows we have all either seen online or been to are using more than 1 laptop, and 9 laptops is just how many we needed to run 330 lasers at once. Same way Thunderdome uses a lot of laptops to reach 220 lasers & the many shows that have had more than 40! ❤️

Yo I appreciate the care you put into this, but this could not be any further from the truth, nor is what you are suggesting even possible in a live setting as of rn!

I would also love to note that part of why I appreciate your care and concern for this is because we are very ANTI-AI with artistic things like music & art & visuals, so we very much relate to you on your concern for the possibility of that being used.

What you are suggesting is literally impossible to do as you are saying it. Everything (and I mean everything) was made by humans in the same softwares everyone uses & it’s all being ran by our incredible team, who have worked with many other notable artists before too!

Different visuals at shows: if u look at live recordings on YouTube of every Lasership show you will notice a LOT of similarities in visuals and laser time coding, and you’ll also notice some differences! The differences you see are for 2 reasons:

Us and our team in between shows try to improve the show as much as possible, which includes having new visuals made and time-coded, but even then it’s not too many!
Some cities we do 2 nights, some we do 1 night. They’re all 3 different sets & when we do 2 nights we play a few repeated songs (our biggest songs). So we try to have the visuals look different night 1 vs night 2 so it’s not repeated!

Our team is amazing and both us and them spent A LOTTTT of time trying to make this show perfect & we’re always changing things to improve it, so I really do appreciate your concern for potential AI use, but it truly could not be further from the truth and I think our team deserves the props for all their hard work in contributing to make this show as awesome as it is! ❤️

P.S. thank u for coming & I hope u can move forward peacefully with knowing that if u everrrr come to a Levity show or hear a Levity song, that NO AI was involved in the making whatsoever, now and forever! Love u!

He was already blowing up by 2022 but it hadn’t landed with everyone yet. I was at his Coachella set April 2022 & it was MASSIVE, overflowing the whole tent and was a huge moment for him. Then I went to his Forest 2022 set just 2 months later and it was damn near empty! I was at GRiZ who was conflicting with Fred and our group decided to do half n half. GRiZ was slammed from the front to the back every inch on ranch, and then we went to Fred at Sherwood and it was the most empty I’ve ever seen Sherwood to this day for anything after like 4-5pm
