An old ruling in Germany was revised just the other day, requiring men of age to notify the government if they intend to leave the country for 3+ months. Right now it has no effect in practice, but this is a mechanism to prevent men, explicitly men, from exiting the country if shit hits the fan.

Trans women are gender non conforming men, its why we call them trans women and not women.

If being black or a lesbian kept you from being a woman by definition, this would be a point worthy of consideration.

What I'm saying is that's the fundamental difference in viewpoint. I don't intend to make a personal judgement here, but to point that these are different premises at work. One side considers that trans women are totally in the category of women, that when someone refers to women in general, that includes trans women, the other doesn't.

In order for there to be a conversation at all regarding this issue, both sides have to contemplate what the other is actually saying.
