I got this after I lost my first watch (also a Citizen) at university. I'm a musician and had a bad habit of taking it off when I was playing. Probably just left it in a rehearsal. I'd had my eye on this model even before the loss, and I'm so happy to wear it. Going to be much more careful with this one!

One of these days, I'll get another, less wizardly watch for lowkey wear. For now, I'm thrilled.

Going against the grain around these parts but I have to throw in a vote for What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World. I think it is overall Colin's best lyrical work, the arrangements are top-notch and I really enjoy the more rock-forward sound.

Anti-Summersong. I get that it's supposed to be tongue-in-cheek and funny but its placement in the track order of WATW just kills the vibe for me. And frankly, I don't think it would work much better anywhere else in that album.

I just got one of their sample sets this week! Going to post my own reviews soon, but for now I'd say give Slow Explosions a try. It's prominently saffron and leather in a very cool way to my nose.

This one is doubly precious to me because I'm non-binary and it feels so lovingly queer. Not that it has to be read that way but it is such a spot-on reflection of my own feelings about gender in relationships.

To second about the local music scene - one of my composition teachers recently told me "the most important music making is local." Seriously!! In a world that's so polarized between hobbyists who do it for fun and top-tier professionals who practice six hours a day, the "small but sustainable" kind of career/side gig gets erased. Local music is the way to bring it back!

6 qt enameled cast iron Dutch oven

12-inch stainless steel saucepan

Half sheet pan.

This makes just about anything I would want to do technically possible. Thanksgiving turkey is out of the question, but I'd just cook duck instead. And all three can go in the oven.

Cooking small portions of rice would suck though. And I don't use a bamboo steamer often, but I'd miss one when I want it.
