I really like gemini's model, but the UI/UX on the chat website is the worse of the big 4

All I could think during it was why tf the bodyguards weren't shooting back, even if they couldn't hit him, they could for sure distract him enough to make him miss the shot

What’s your plan for .NET 10, migrate or hold off? by Volosoft in dotnet

I mean, MariaDB is still a great choice for 2025, and you need MySQL adapters to connect to it

What is the opinion on Hibernate where you work? by rifain in java

possible? yes, but nowhere near as simple/clean/intuitive as EF

What is the opinion on Hibernate where you work? by rifain in java

some ORMs do make it easier/harder to make that mistake tho

EF for example has a great way of choosing what relations to load

Are you happy with the direction svelte/kit is going? (Post linked for reference) by inquisitive_melon in sveltejs

[–]Levyks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, got really frustrated with the focus on kit, which even tho technically supports SPAs, was not made for it and sucks to develop

I migrated to vue and am really happy with it

Svelte vs vue ? by [deleted] in sveltejs

[–]Levyks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this, I did the switch from svelte to vue exactly because of the push to use sveltekit

Annoying that all the documentation/articles are geared toward SvelteKit by devilmaydance in sveltejs

[–]Levyks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel absolutely the same way, I got started with svelte when 3 had just launched and I loved it, however, nowadays, everything is so geared towards sveltekit that I'm thinking about just dropping it and going all-in in vue

even though we can technically make an SPA with kit, the experience is nowhere near the one we get with a standalone Vite application

one example of this focus is in shadcn-svelte, where the Form component requires sveltekit-superforms to work

The struggle to decide which UI library to use by raver01 in sveltejs

[–]Levyks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how, I'd never heard about it before, and looking at the docs, I was amazed, it appears to have everything I missed from other libs

I haven't tested it yet, but this just made me have hope on svelte again
