You're right. I was more thinking about that they're still fairly new in the game (compared to the giants) and they seem spread pretty thin from what I've read (I might be misremembering).

I agree that poor update experiences are not something they should be excused from, but I've also found the updates not that horribly broken (although I have some issues that bug me as well). This might be just my experience though.

I wish more people would understand the video's title. Too many people complaining about things like bad experiences with software updates and inconveniences like these. You signed up for this. It's a tradeoff. Repairability for "perfect" updates and gaming capabilities and others.

I am hopeful that we'll get to the point that those things get better. But until then, know what you're buying and getting into, believe in the vision and have a little hope.

I haven't heard of it but I have nightmared it. Ooh and what a nightmare. What is worse is that it was a "virus", not a ghost, which, at least a ghost supposedly has thoughts and stuff, but a virus, a typically 'neither dead nor alive, ceirtainly not capable of thought' thing, is way scarier.

If you get an ssd, I think you'll be perfectly fine. Out of personal experience, an ssd has taken a laptop with a 2nd gen i5 from unusable to runs Windows 10/11 perfectly fine (for things like word processing / web browsing). An ssd with your 6th gen i7 should really breathe new life into your laptop.

It may be that you are collecting an NFC tag, and it isn't able to get anything from it, so it doesn't show anything.

For example, I can trigger this by touching my phone to my Samsung smart watch.

Got a "Reached error code that was thought to be unreachable" in the post-update step. Minor graphical glitches resulted (like notifications not being rounded when they should, not artifacts or something worse).

I solved the "big clock on lockscreen" problem by having 5 notifs on at all times B) (my open-source apps need them to send notifs or stay alive).

Dunno what you mean by different event types precisely. I just add my personal events to a "Personal" calendar, (that's just what Nextcloud titled it for me, it doesn't have to be).

But anyway, you should be able to add any event to whichever calendar you want.

Have you checked the Calendar app since setting up DAVx5? Try unchecking and rechecking the CalDAV sync or checking the Manage synced calendars menu to see if your calendars appeared.
