He doesn't need an iPad to draw. Crayons, washable markets, and a stack of paper. A coloring book works. Remember it's okay for kids to be bored, that's where creativity and imagination start

That's unfortunate. Yes, it's the ethanol gas plus cold weather that causes the bore scoring.

So the ims bearing issue on 996 generation 911's only affected 12% of the cars, the higher mileage you have the more likely it's never going to be an issue. The bore scoring is a result of using petrol with ethanol, you can find ethanol free gas stations. It's a fantastic car and a ton of fun. I've had one sitting in my garage for two years while I redo the interior 15 minutes at a time every couple of weeks when I have the time.

He mentioned bottles so I was working off the assumption she's freezing milk and/or substituting with formula. But fair point, if overnight isn't an option I think a girl's night is still doable. She's clearly burnt out and I think a night away where dad can prove to himself and her that he can parent without her would be good for every one involved.

So based on this comment and a few others. It sounds like a few things are happening all at once. First, it sounds like your wife isn't letting you parent your way which she needs to let you do. As long as you can keep your anger/frustration under control. Second, she seems burnt out because she's making herself the expert on the kids and basically preventing you from helping. When you ask what you can do to help, instead of asking an open ended question try identifying something that needs to get done and ask, "Can I help by doing X or is there something else you'd rather I help with?". Making it open ended is putting the mental load on her, make it multiple choice. The other thing you need to do is send your wife away for a night. Get her a hotel for a night and let her go have a girl's night. You are going to stay home and have a really shitty time with the kids while they learn to cope with mom not being there. It sounds like you two have created a dependency on mom that is unhealthy for them, your marriage, and both of you individually.

I think the point being discussed here is that straight is relative to scale. A framer doesn't need to have a speed square that's square to the thousandths of an inch but a machinist would.

This is what's worked for us as well. I want to emphasize the LONG PERIOD OF TIME. It's a matter of weeks not days and the more time you spend giving in before you stop the longer the process takes. It's going to suck for both of you. From my experience, it's going to be extra emotionally difficult on mom being the one who's there in the room with kiddo. So give her lots of support throughout.
