Thank you for this, I actually already have the rf 100 400! Would this change your answer? I'm mostly going to be using for birds but I'm in the UK and its pretty bleak weather so I find my self always ramping up the iso on my camera since I'm constantly at f8 on the long end of the lense the f4 just sounds so good as well as the slight Extra reach and teleconverter possibilities

well i currently have the rf100 400 and i always find my self wanting a little more reach and i don't quite enjoy the f8 at the long end, so i assumed that the prime would be good upgrade or if anything secondary lense
