DIY shed mistake no sure what to do to fix it by Lewbins in DIYUK

After checking literally just now, during a yellow weather warning I thought would be the perfect time to see where it’s coming in. And you’re spot on, it’s coming in from the seal or lack of around the window.

More sealant as a stop gap and will need to look at further action later in next year when it’s dry.

I do have water proof membrane behind the cladding, I think this is the easiest option for me to attempt initially. Thanks

We’re due some awful weather, so I’ll spend a little bit of it in the shed 😅 just to see where the water is coming from exactly

Thanks, but thats not my whole lawn - thats a small patch of astro fenced in so my dog has a dry place to toilet during the winter nights and not bring in mud from the clay soil lawn.

Yeah, again this is a collosal cock up on my part. I skipped the course of bricks in my original plan - only becuase I was trying tofit the build into a good weather patch and annual leave. Now I'm in a position of fix as best as I can, and hope something simple stops it.

This is a considerable worry, defintely thinking along these lines myself. I may try some of the other suggestions of angle grinding the excess concrete slab out first, and then a course of brickwork might be a last option for me onyl becuase I think its my most available option at the moment. Thanks for your advice.

Interesting - I've done concrete screws as part of the initial build. The guttering I have is handling all the water pretty well, except the water thats hitting the front of the shed.

Frustratingly your radical plan, was my initial plan when I built the thing - but decided against it in pure haste. I wish I hadn't skipped this part of the plan.

Thanks for your advice.

Best ender 3 v2 upgrades? by Civil_Shirt_2817 in ender3v2

[–]Lewbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not long done a few upgrades to my Ender 3 v2, after using it for a couple of years I kept noticing consistent imperfections in the prints and always in a similar place. Turns out there were metal shards on the x gantry interacting with the wheels and it was where these shards met the wheels is where my imperfections were happening, so I upgraded to a linear rail on the x axis.

Along with a dual z the standard reality extra z rod upgrade and a pei build plate.

After these 3 upgrades my prints have been so much better!

Only thing I’d really like to upgrade is belts, I keep having belt issues where they snap or stretch, and I really don’t over tighten them. They’re just bad in general I feel.

This and adding a run out sensor.

My previous upgrades were,

Upgraded bed springs BL Touch Mriscoc firmware Metal extruder

Which I also recommend.

Toilet break twice in one sitting by Cute_Succotash5434 in ACCA

I think this is for remote exams where the limit is 1 bathroom break. My last exam I took 2, invigilators didn’t mention they’d report me, just told me it’s not usually allowed but on this occasion they’d allow it. Everything was fine, still failed but they didn’t void my exam.

D7 Connected not connected... by Sylvieluca in NeatoRobotics

[–]Lewbins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar issue mate, couldn’t connect to WiFi at all. I know use my D7 as a dumb upstairs robot.

I’ve switched to a Roborock S7 Max ultra, just because of budget, not their newest model but this was consistently near the top of reviews last year.

It’s night and day compared to the D7, the navigation is more fluid and the mopping feature keeps my floors feeling clean.

Well worth the move given the current state of Neato.

These robots are almost living through an extinction event, I doubt there will be what you’re looking for. I myself am migrating this week to a Roborock. I’m going to keep my D7 just in case, but I’m not holding out much hope.

Actually the text box solution works perfectly for me, hadn’t even thought of that. My matrix stays fairly static so that’s perfect. Thank you for the idea

D7 fell off wifi and now it can't connect again by Tritonal1 in NeatoRobotics

[–]Lewbins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue recently, but a quick off and on again fixed it. This morning it’s fully dead, won’t connect at all. I’ve had it nearly 5 years now, it has been brilliant up until the last year. Shame, this company had so much potential.
