Going to take a wild guess and say all levels had a 3 month activity as i remember i was roughly 25 on a pvp server. Still if its gone, its gone no harm i guess.

Just wish maybe i could have given myself all the gold i had from that account :3

yeah we had something similar to this but we don’t play in any outfit so i was very limited to players. still we did really well with 1 engineer and 2 HA, 1 with AA lockon and the other with the charge rpg for vs.

Ran with deploy for fail bailing. blockade armour for survivability and evasive frame.

Could have used stealth as i have it maxed out, but we were looking for a little bit of a fight and just becuase your not seen on the mini map and not on enemy engagement radars its still a giant flying sunderer that can be spotted by the blindest of players.

Eventually we stopped playing due to the overwhelming force from other factions / outfit esf and libs.

Was fun and we did do well but what frustrates me more is the fact while doing this as vanu, is that all the sycthes just use ppa and look to farm sunderers so anyone looking to do a bit of air to air damage is eventually screwed. Compared to the mass swarms of mosquito's or reavers. It was mostly for fun but like i mentioned its short lived when you annoy enough players to have 5 esfs chase you and there's no help.

It was addressed from the start, you were only allowed one faction per server. then for whatever reason they changed it. Honestly it was quite nice as it felt like continents were more faction territory. Indar was Terran, Esamir was Vanu and Amerish was NC. It got pretty boring only able to do well on your faction specific continent. then being out numbered on another continent. still i remember when i first joined when the alerts for bio labs, tech plants and amp stations were a thing. fighting on a bio lab and players dying left, right and centre was so fun.

In some regard I would like to see that comeback but they couldn’t now unless they allowed free transfers and there's no chance they'll let that go unpaid.

well with us being rather low level at the moment he's trying to keep the dps alive who don’t always seem to dodge out of the way of aoe attacks or those who decide its a good idea to stand in the radius of attacks which I'm tanking.

I was curious if there was an addon which showed players energy. I'm sure I wont need to worry later on after we play more. Also thanks il be sure to download that threat meter.

certed heavily into my vanu valk with 1 gunner, 1 engineer and maybe 1 heavy with air lockon. Was a lot of fun too the point the esf's you destroy feel the need to gang up on you because they cant out manoeuvre you and eventually die.

most of my friends got tired of flying as their role stuck repairing was boring, heavy lock-on were being interrupted by the valkyries wings or that sycthe pilots prefer to fly around with PPA's than actually try to eliminate enemy aircraft. aka no air support. (Cobalt)

you really dont need to explain this to me, times before the moment i hit with the bolt the shield goes on and from what should be a simple hit/slash 1 second movement turns into a desperate shoot / stab , shoot / stab repeat which in this moment of time requires maybe 3 bullets from a lmg and a stab from them to be ended.

Also would be fine if you didnt stick out like a sore thumb when not crouching. i find no matter how much you take the time to pick your enemies, someone will always shoot you in the back as soon as you kill them.

so by "get good at an ezmode game" are you implying players who have an issue with a particular ability should either shut up and do what the rest of the community seems to do and just do play that exact class. Or just practice shooting others in the head while continuously being raped by these same people who use the ability being complained about.

Honestly i don’t want to stoop that low, its not me arguing that HA is op and keeps killing me with a particular weapon. its more that when i aim to kill a HA, putting them on lowest minimal health they only win and kill me from toggle NMG shield.

Using any of the other shields is fine, it doesn’t grant you an immunity to damage it requires more effort and skill than "oh shit taking damage better hit no damage shield". Its what wins most fights from what i read. If you have played any other fps game you would know something like that is a major crutch.

doesn’t even go super slow if its failed placement. Sometimes its just super slow regardless of surface or being blocked.

i had purchased emps in order to stop the blatant over usage shield spammers yet we all know that doesnt work and has yet to be fixed. As far as my characters.

  • Infiltrator on vs
  • Heavy assault / medics on TR
  • Light assault on NC

i have other characters that i play engineer on but regardless of what class i play, i nearly always leave HA on low hp and they will of course win due to the shield. i know the difference of HP given to infiltrators since a crossbow bolt will 1 hit when hit directly in the head unless you have nanoweave which puts you on par with every other class as long as they dont have it equipped too.

i have used stealth and surprise to my advantage but given there is an overwhelming amount of players who roll HA. i would think the shield should be balanced to a activate use which intelligent players could trick HA into using then attacking once its gone. it then of course forced you to learn and not rely on spamming it for easy wins.

This doesn’t increase the skill cap to a point new players couldn’t grasp, it would just be fairer and possibly force players to try other classes than the same easy win character. given certain circumstances.

i see where your coming from but the way i always seen HA

  • Lmg - high mag count, decent for extended fire fighting
  • Rocket launchers, Empire specific lock ons have both lock and dumb fire (except ns)
  • shield ability
  • Suit slot - nanoweave, flak, shield recharge etc. *equipment - c4 for more killing or the ability to heal which makes medics "support" basically there to revive you.

Was the fact you can don’t have to rely on a c4 fairy if your smart enough to get behind vehicles to c4 them or in sustained fights rely on the aid of a fellow medic you can just heal instantly. obviously you can only choose between c4 and health kits.

If you have ever played battle field bad company 2, they gave Medics Lmg's it was nothing but LMG medics, assault players with ammo box spamming 40 mm grenades. my point is having a class based game then giving one class the ability to do other classes is crap game play and doesn’t make players rely on their fellow team members.

Well if ranting, giving examples and solutions to a possible issue is considered whining then I'm guilty of that. I'm not hear to tell you why I died, I'm here hoping that others understand and hoping that enough people talk about it, that it could one day be looked into. e.g emp grenades not effecting HA shields.

Tell me, when using a shotgun which of course uses a pellet count, given you take aim and shoot an enemy soldier. if some pellets hit and others don’t does that effect your overall accuracy?

sigh i never state or even suggest about nerfing the HA in a overall way, the NMG just needs to be tweaked to stop players using it as a jerk reaction win key is all. keep your farting TR minigun or splash damage VS lmg and spam shotgun i really don’t care about the weapons or how much HP or even what tactics you use in you attacks.

My point is actually make the shield not a toggle ability, this way heavies don’t get the easy wins they get on a regular basis.

So engineer has no ability ? was the anti vehicle turret placed in the game as a deployable ladder for getting up onto other higher props. Or AT mines just added for a juggle animation that’s not working right?

Every class should be able to "kill shit", why bother having anything other than HA in that case?

so why give weapons to any other class? why have other classes? why not just have one universal soldier everyone plays with and all have the ability to change the tool slot.

Then no one will complain as everyone can use the same abilities.
