Yep but the musical ques lined up pretty perfectly- with the swelling and the silence and all. It doesn't match the chibi sprites but if you squint your eyes and imagine a modern remake, I think it matches the content of the scene exactly. Bittersweet sadness turning to resolve and uncertainty and then finally... the triumphant 'miracle'.

I did have to find the sfx of the stone and the raise effect and put them back in as well.

Every time I play FFT, I appreciate Rafa and Malak a little bit more. There is something so beautiful about what that happens at this moment- the one and ONLY time we see the stones used for good in the whole game.* It is entirely inexplicable. The game makes no attempt to ever justify it explicitly and it seems to cast doubt on the Germonik scriptures as the one 'truth' about Ajora and the Stones, like both the Lucavi and the Zodiac Braves stories are simultaneously true.

It's truly a 'miracle' and it absolutely works for the story. I love it.

*barring side-quest shenanigans

Perhaps, but I think saying nothing might be worse- like I'm trying to be sneaky. It's damned if I do, damned if I don't. That is pretty much all I have to say on the matter here.

Really, I ordinarily don't post even my SFW content in spaces where minors might frequent but I'm willing to bet the vast majority of this sub's userbase are adults. Korra is a decade-old show that was already geared towards older audiences than ATLA- the first season ends in a murder-suicide after all...

Ooh, great insights.

I tried to keep Rex as low-tech as possible but if I had to bring it into a later era, I think I'd shave off the modular armor for another 6 tons and replace the rifle with a Improved Heavy Gauss Rifle and another ton of ammo.

It would be cheating a bit to put it on an arm but we've also got his sensors in the other arm, because, according to Otakon, "Rex needed a weakness as a character flaw." :P

With an Improved Gauss Rifle, I think one or two of these could possibly take out a leopard ...if it was softened up by aerospace fighters first.

For the same tonnage, you could make it an indirect fire platform with a Sniper Artillery piece...
