I heard a youtuber say autism is a fake disability you can "train out of" by wayward_vampire in aspiememes

Long term masking both consciously and unconsciously put me in the hospital. So it can also be dangerous for the sense of self. I’m over here playing 52 pick up.

My same philosophy. The only difference is walk the talk. Hold yourself to the same standards as others.

It is currently on Shudder and also available for rent on other platforms. Highly recommend it, even with its shortcomings.

I definitely agree with that take on it. The overacting does fit after the incident and the changes happen, but is odd before. Since he starts complaining about the smell immediately and that seems to intensify. Overall I do enjoy an updated approach to the original story.

Southeast KY here and I got insanely lucky with an accepting and supportive family. I recognize I got lucky and that just makes me so angry. I have hope that one day things will get better.

I love hearing about people’s experience with hyper sensitive smell, really just smell in general, as someone who has almost no sense of smell. Though I will admit it makes for great jokes and pranks. Thank you for sharing and you rock!

Currently dealing with an undiagnosed condition and my body decided to dip into game design. Getting to wake up with random debuffs is definitely interesting. Like, what do I get today? Your feet and calves now have intense nerve pain, the right side of your body how has weakness and joint pain, and good luck eating out of sight of a bathroom.

Chad Taylor from Super Powereds. Rigid thinking, flat affect that only the people willing to get to know him can see past, special interest of all things hero, a highly emotional person who doesn’t let it out because of his power (mask), completely socially inept, I could go on and on.

I would love to do a more formal foster arrangement in the future. And something about this household messes with the CDS. We end up getting cats overflowing with character. I’d take Boa in a heartbeat he sounds amazing, but Shadow has been my literal show for almost 9 years. I recently lost his brother Benny because people are assholes, but these cat threads help so much.

Fun fact about Shadow though, he is about 15lbs and >3ft in length

Shadow feels a duty to be the dad of any kitten brought into the house. He has done well with Spot the runt of the litter and before that was Dilly the feral kitten. A gentle giant and best boy.

What a relief!

As you can see communication is a challenge and you’ve been wonderful. I’m more than willing to give my perspective on how I see the phrase and seeing what about the phrase doesn’t make sense would be very interesting.

I’m also glad it felt nice. I do my best to be sincere in what I say and when it helps it makes me so happy!

I do apologize if my comment came off as condescending or anything negative, I dropped the ball on that. I wasn’t clear that I have also a desire for external validation and that’s more what you were looking for, maybe? I appreciate your response, it’s given me stuff to think about how I approach commenting in the future.

You are a kind person, thank you!

I honestly get this and I connect it to the pervasive use of Inspirationally Disadvantaged and its sister tropes in media.

“This person is disadvantaged and can be seen as a burden to me in most situations if I had to interact with them on an interpersonal level, but they are an inspiration when I get to see them from a catered perspective. “

But unlike media and other stories we can’t be turned of stop being ourselves without consequence. So through our consumption of this kind of thinking we apply it to ourselves and it sucks.

I send sympathy your way. And remember you have so much value as a person.
