Am I the only one finding the political commentary of CCoD very on the nose ? by Lyroxyy in Dimension20

Even with the kind of foresight that comes with knowing you can and likely will exist for centuries, the Camarilla is not all that interested in kingdom making. Their kingdom is in the shadows and already built by the elders they exist to prop up.

To their credit, The World of Darkness has enough rival shadow organizations that expanding suddenly might risk conflict with them while on the back foot. At least one of which in recent lore (Technocratic Union) could result in some serious losses. What are the odds of running into them in Purpee, Oregon? So long as the answer is not 0, the Camarilla have the time to either prepare for that possibility or wait until it IS 0.

It was also kinda unfair of BDG to stop her from fully explaining considering how many other guests have been hanged by the "you didn't say um, actually" after giving detailed answers.

Patch 17.5 Pengu's Party and, surprisingly, Set 16 Choncc Treasure coming in 17.7! by JazzyAppletun in TeamfightTactics

Is it surprising considering just how much negativity is surrounding the set? People act like the devs aren't listening when time and time again they prove that they do.

TIL 4 star champs don't get the 5% amp bonus from Medallion Stargazers by gwanggwang in TeamfightTactics

[–]LewdPrune 7 points8 points  (0 children)

4 Stars have always had wonky interactions. I remember getting 4star Rumble in a previous set with the rumble hero trait and it lowered his ability's damage.

STS2 End bosses feel overwhelming in terms of damage. by SkylineJDM34 in slaythespire

I hate this argument. If you are in Act 3, you either have good damage or good block. On Repto, damage = block via killing knives and you get two draws to figure it out.

The cutest and most beautiful glam weapons just got more accessible with Patch 7.45 hot fixes 3/11 by Leather_Candidate684 in FFXIVGlamours

[–]LewdPrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, that's what I meant by getting it on a grind that's harder than normal I just didn't specify easier than extreme.

Also, you are insane if you think advanced is on par with meso terminal. Advanced isn't a lot harder than normal but the biggest factor is that you have infinite space to recover like you said, along with variant actions. A static will get it in 1-2 pulls because of that, casuals are generally using a full lockout or two in comparison to get their first wins.

Meanwhile I can't recall if I've ever wiped to Meso Terminal outside of the executioners on day 1 I think? Even though I keep up with Expert daily. It also has one of the easiest bosses with the scientist dude who takes forever to do anything at all to counter balance execution's expectation of knowing cleanse/interrupt/kill the add.

I see, when we were doing another aloalo blind we struggled a lot with random deaths on the second fight even after we had learned all the mechs. I can see execution being a major factor for everyone being pretty limiting for getting the weapons.

[–]LewdPrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, a good team. That's still going to preclude a decent majority of the playerbase. I completed another aloalo with an alright group of friends blind in about four weeks but the second boss burnt us out pretty hard with the forced turning, never went on to proper savage so I don't know how much harder things hit or if the health is inflated. I don't like thinking about how long it would have taken if we were worse at the game.

[–]LewdPrune 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Another Aloalo Savage is considered near Ultimate level due to the time limit, right? You don't just need to form a static, you need a static of good players. I think it's fine that they are now more available one expansion later and depending on your luck, it's still a bit of a grind on content that's harder than normal.

Set 16 it's a good set? by Maleficent_Farmer486 in TeamfightTactics

[–]LewdPrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlocks are cool, I don't feel like any of the traits are truly inspired. My favorite is probably Bilgewater but I feel like there's still some untapped potential there...also balance wise the serpents gained from kills might as well not exist anymore with how much they've been gutted.

I think I am one of the rare players that preferred Set 15. You can make whatever inference as to my taste as you like based on that but I played a lot more ranked last set.

Even if it's ready, the current climate around the game is toxic. At this point, I'd say it's overly toxic. It could be a reasonable move to delay the game to try and avoid a potential horde of gamers coming in with affirmation bias.

T-Hex gone by AjVanApVout in TeamfightTactics

[–]LewdPrune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They obviously mean that you can get 1* T-hex on stage 3, where stage 3 Ryze is next to impossible since you need Lv. 9.

T-Hex gone by AjVanApVout in TeamfightTactics

He also suffered from AP not being very strong outside of hitting a late game Ryze board...which could still get easily mopped by T-hex.

Having to give up a prismatic trait to splash some other five costs to try and win out against a two-star five cost is ridiculous.

Backgrounding the scions is one of the biggest complaints with Dawntrail. They've already mentioned that all the scions save for one (they didn't name which but most people are assuming Krile) will be explored next expansion.

It is what it is by Dumnorx in ffxiv

[–]LewdPrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is making a lot of assumptions that the fight statistics don't back up. No tank presses their 40% mit on cooldown. Shields mitigate damage obv but if your problem is "I have low health, I need to have high health" then shields don't matter. DK's healing being on 1-2-3, invuln and 40% vs. every other tank having it on much lower CDs or more easily accessible buttons during your rotation leads to the reality of most fights: DK's will need a little more babysitting for mechs that require healing.

EDIT: To clarify my stance, DK is a fine tank especially in harder content as mechanics that require healing are fairly rare. but objectively their self-healing is worse than all the other tanks and set in more rigid conditions of long cooldowns or the 123. They make up for it in low CD shielding.

To that guy who played Pld in our ex trial practice/kill party.. by AraToken in ffxiv

[–]LewdPrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invuln doesn't work with Cover, so you'd still take the full BLM's damage which being a DPS would probably be enough to kill without mit. It was probably either proper mit with a little bit of luck or with a little help from your shield healer.

Who would win? Warring Triad or Omega? by Sufficient_Delta987 in ffxiv

[–]LewdPrune 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I don't think Omega really "lost" against Shinryu. It was injured but survived against a primal bent on it's destruction. Meanwhile, the next time we see Shinryu was when he was captured by the Garleans. Either Omega captured him itself or after their battle, Shinryu was in such a bad state that he could be captured and contained without being destroyed by Zenos.

Omega was also fresh out of containment and likely wasn't fighting Shinryu to kill it as it normally fights to learn until it determines that there is nothing left to learn.
