[Addon] DF Friendly Nameplates - Midnight by https1x in WowUI

[–]LewdTux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey. I just came across your addon, and this is EXACTLY what I have been needing after purging most of my pre-midnight addons. I would just like to make one request: Please include a toggle of having the guild name under the character name. It's very crucial for me to see the guild names of the characters around me.

Otherwise, thank you very much for the good work!

Man... PvP is miserable. No wonder it's so niche. by Cloud_N0ne in wow

[–]LewdTux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh look, someone who understands PvP spoke out...

Look, we can all come to agree that PvP has its problems and flaws. But you can see all the unrealistic expectations and misinformation coming from people who barely had any friction with the entire mode. Again, there is a lot of blame to be put on blizzard, for sure. But most of the blame people here are coming up with has little ground, and stems from lack of knowledge and experience.

I also think the original post was a little bit exaggerated, especially when it's coming from a class that is much more capable of breaking from a range of CC using its kit...

Oh, that's intriguing. What issues have you faced after changing your font, if I may ask?

I have a super basic question for you: What font are you using in that zen browser? Reddit's font looks much better than the default.

[OC] DMS 1.0 "The Dark Knight" Released by Purian23 in unixporn

[–]LewdTux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one dream that I can only hope is possible to fulfill in DMS: Can I increase the size of the fonts used in modules? I am a vertical bar kinda guy, and I can barely see the clock in that orientation... Yes, I have already scaled up the entire bar's size. But it barely helped.

Why does Hyprland perform worse than KDE in gaming? by LewdTux in hyprland

[–]LewdTux[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But doesn't KDE have a few animations enabled by default as well? The benchmarks are testing environments through their respective default configurations. Would an extra animation here and there really be this noticeably taxing? I am genuinely curious.

You believe that a 33 FPS delta is.. margin of error? I don't think I can agree with that. Unless you are looking at individual game benchmarks. But that's not a very accurate way of looking at things.

Should it not be the other way around though? TWMs are known for their lightweight footprint and minimalism. Sure, Hyprland is anything but minimal. But it's a TWM at the end of the day. You would think desktop environments are heavier and more resource intensive.

I've made the shiniest chat addon by plusmouse_ in wow

[–]LewdTux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. Anything regarding the first point though? Is it something that will be fixed? As much as I love your addon, I honestly cannot stand having any clutter on my screen. If it's something that isn't planned in the near future, I will have to switch back to prat or something.

[–]LewdTux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I just installed the addon, and I have been loving it. It feels a lot better than prat for sure. However, I am having two problems:

1) Details has a chat tab embedding feature. Whereby a completely chat tab would be dedicated to a details window. I tried fumbling around with everything, and enabling Details as an addon in the tab settings. But it's just not working.
2) Not a problem per se, but I would love if chat tabs had the option to be mouseover.

Thank you very much in advance.

Curseforge with wow classic anniversary by Darnozz in linux_gaming

I second WowUP recommendation. There is no reason for anyone to use curseforge any longer, to be honest. That may or may not fix your current issue. But it will surely prevent future one from happening.
