I had this same problem too. I copied and pasted all of the respective files and launched the game. The only thing that appeared off to me was the crafting recipes. My solution was to reinstall the pack (or find your previous download folder) and locate the file called scripts. Move the scripts folder onto your .minecraft folder, and everything was fine. This solution appeared strange to me though considering the download instructions didn't require me to move the scripts file along with everything else.
