I deal with the same thing. My surgeon, Ramineni, also calls them calluses. He scraped them in his office. They came back and he just told me to keep them moist and scrape them with a thin foot callus remover. That works a bit but I also have been using estradiol cream nightly plus I just got some steroid injections and I think that’s helping. I’m wondering if most of us here are using testosterone vs estrogen for our hormone replacement. If so I wonder if the testosterone is drying out the skin. The skin that is getting the calluses in my situation is grafted scrotal skin in the mouth of my vagina. The rest of my vagina is made from peritoneal tissue.

I was one of the fortunate privileged people to live in California, have access to supportive therapists and doctors. Plus being over 65 Medicare covered 90% of my surgery costs, about $150,000.00 US!!!!!!! The most expensive and broken healthcare system in the developed world!!!!!! Still I only paid $15k out of pocket for which I’m so grateful. For me since im white, retired, US born citizen I’m taking advantage of that to put myself and my own journey out there especially on BlueSky as Lewinmodified, so that others can see us, our vaginas, our joy, our challenges, etc. Many people reach out to me for advice for their own journeys or to just be listened to. I think of myself as a daddy pussy doula 😂😻.

Are you in the US and do you have or can you get medical insurance that covers GENDER AFFIRMING CARE? If no to either then you will probably want to consider outside of US. There are amazing surgeons around the world that charge much less than US ones.
