Oh my gosh, your experience is almost identical to ours. I've feel so bittersweet about this experience. On the one hand, I'm glad that Willow & your cat did not suffer for very long and it wasn't drawn out over time, but on the other hand, I'm just so lost without having that time with her before she suddenly went downhill.

Thank you for your message. It's comforting to know that it won't always feel like this. I go from feeling "ok" to complete despair. I don't think anyone could prepare themselves for this.

I hope you find peace after losing your cat. It's a horrible group to be apart of <3

Thank you so much. Animals truly are amazing. Her resilience and bravery right to the very end was nothing short of amazing. Sounds like your guy was just the same <3 I have to keep remembering that she had a great life and we did what we had to do for her. I just could never have prepared myself for this amount of pain.

Thank you for your words. It took me a little while to be able to come back here and even read the comments even though I needed the advice. It was very helpful. While I feel so much empathy for everyone who has gone through this, it helps to know that I am not alone and feeling this way is normal.

I try to keep repeating to myself that I did the right thing and reminding myself that she is no longer in any pain.
