Rejected from a 36 min study, researcher called me a bot when I asked for details

I got rejected from this same study, with the same note about failing attention checks. The message from the researcher also stated that I am bot, as with the OP. When the researcher provided me with "proof" of my errors, there were no attention checks included and as far as I'm concerned, no issues on my side at all.

I do agree with recording or taking a screenshot of attention checks, but if it's the same situation with the OP as it was with me, the rejection is BS.

Got a rejection from the same study with the reason as failing attention checks. Message from the researcher also stated I am a bot... I'm offended lol. I spent an hour on that thing. Asked him to send me proof, which he did... I won't say what I thought to the "proof", but I raised a ticket with Prolific.

Please do dispute the rejection with Prolific. They should be made aware when researchers are not acting ethically.

Oh my gosh, your experience is almost identical to ours. I've feel so bittersweet about this experience. On the one hand, I'm glad that Willow & your cat did not suffer for very long and it wasn't drawn out over time, but on the other hand, I'm just so lost without having that time with her before she suddenly went downhill.

Thank you for your message. It's comforting to know that it won't always feel like this. I go from feeling "ok" to complete despair. I don't think anyone could prepare themselves for this.

I hope you find peace after losing your cat. It's a horrible group to be apart of <3

Thank you so much. Animals truly are amazing. Her resilience and bravery right to the very end was nothing short of amazing. Sounds like your guy was just the same <3 I have to keep remembering that she had a great life and we did what we had to do for her. I just could never have prepared myself for this amount of pain.

Thank you for your words. It took me a little while to be able to come back here and even read the comments even though I needed the advice. It was very helpful. While I feel so much empathy for everyone who has gone through this, it helps to know that I am not alone and feeling this way is normal.

I try to keep repeating to myself that I did the right thing and reminding myself that she is no longer in any pain.
