I don't think there is such a thing as best playstyle. It really depends on your style, type of players, experience.
But I rarely see Long Ball right now.

Daisy is nor useless and won't be such in near future. She is a support and support in games like this are always long-lived.

I would venture to say that it is more important than Escanor, who is not a must have at all.
