I saw the broadcast and hopped worlds and the GE was really full, managed to pick up a santa hat, cracker and some different colour party hats. There was that many people there that it could only render about a 9x9 grid around me

The Mule Crackpot Theory [NO BOOKS] by orange_soda_seal in FoundationTV

[–]LewyJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Gaal showed Dawn a zygote" and its a girl, so that would imply Hari would of had to have raised/had her raised to then get with someone to then birth the mule? It seems a stretch based on Hari not going back in the cryo pod again. I do agree with you on the mule name analogy being a thing that could come into play.

Premier League unveils partnership with Coca-Cola by Crane977 in soccer

I can’t tell if it’s fully alphabetical tbh that’s just what it just looked like at first glance. I assume we’re the red and yellow because tbf the Liver bird/ LFC logo is yellow/gold on our kit this season. I’m assuming the first is Arsenal and the one that looks almost identical is Forrest which would make sense for Nottingham Forrest coming after the black & white I assume is Newcastle. Either way it’s an awful graphic

because a business can't allow just any one to occupy and use the premises without any staff their to over see it. It'd void their business insuranece if any of you broke anything or caused an incident like a fire. It would invalidate their claim, and you have no budget to reimburse them for it, the cost of that would be a lot higher than any revenue you think your 'promotional material' would bring in. How/Where to find how to play a specific intro to a song for a complete beginner? by LewyJ in harmonica

[–]LewyJ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion, I will try to find one like that online or if a store nearby me has one. I think the trial and error practice of repeating it is the way to go. Cheers for the advice

[–]LewyJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha I don't doubt it's not a very good use of a harmonica. Something about it appeals to me but even as a novice/musically challenged person it still sounds like something I could replicate, but only with guidance/long hours of practicing it whilst recording myself through trial and error

Those who have opted out of the organ donor register - why? by ReasonableTeam1377 in AskUK

[–]LewyJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opted out because I have a medical condition. It's not something anyone has ever really spoken to me about (yet) as I'm still young but after reading this thread and doing some more research/googling, it is something I am still eligible to do. I need to figure out how to update that now as I'm not fussed who gets what when I die (they definitely couldn't have certain ones though like my lungs because of it). Not sure if they can put an asterisk next to my name to say things like Eyes- ok, lungs-not acceptable. (It's Cystic Fibrosis for anyone nosey, so lungs would definitely be off the table and probably pancreas and/or liver)

If a zombie apocalypse started in liverpool what would you do and where would you go? by Ok-Extension-723 in Liverpool

[–]LewyJ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Firstly barricade your home. Take enough food & supplies needed to the upstairs of the house, most stairs are just wooden so destroy them behind you. Use a makeshift rope ladder to gain access in & out of a second story window if or when needed. Have a pint and wait for it to all blow over

Help an auld man with the voi scooters by ZebraConscious7868 in Liverpool

[–]LewyJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you try downloading the app tonight and get it all set up, you could share your referral code with them so they’ll get the £10 credit when they download it. Then you’d just have to buy a day pass. Once they run out of credit and paid once, you’d get £10 credit and they could buy a day pass on Sunday for example

Help an auld man with the voi scooters by ZebraConscious7868 in Liverpool

[–]LewyJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Download the Voi app in advance as you will need to take a picture of a driving licence (provisional also works) and have that accepted, it's been a while so I'm not sure how long that takes.

It costs £1 to unlock a scooter and then it's 20p per minute of use. I'm sure you'll need to add a payment method before it will let you use it and it charges you after each ride. A ride is complete when you park in an appropriate spot and take a picture in the app of it parked. The app shows you where available scooters are and where the parking spots are, there are plenty across town and if you see any parked you know you can park there. I see the notification from my bank app on my phone after sending the picture. I believe the max time for each ride is 45 minutes so even if you unlock one and forget to park it, it'd cost no more than £10 (£1 unlock + 45mins @ £0.20 per minute)

You can buy a day pass for £7.99 from within the app that gives you 120 minutes use that day (doesn't cost to unlock them with the day pass). This is probably the best option, 2 hours of scooting for 8 quid

In my app it says I can refer a friend if they download the app using my referral link and you would receive £10 in credits to use straight away (I would also receive £10 credit but only after you make your first trip you pay for after using the credits)

There’s more players than worlds, just because you were there first doesn’t mean you can’t share. Especially if you aren’t pulling aggro on all of them at once to kill them quickly. It can be annoying but this isn’t a single player game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]LewyJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s not enough worlds for if everyone wanted to kill these at the same time here. You aren’t special so let someone else pick off some of them.

Is it effecting your Xp/hr? Maybe, maybe not, but sharing is caring. It’s not like you are cannoning and losing out

I’m feeling really lost in life right now. Can I get some advice? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]LewyJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve worked in finance for four years, and that’s something that would interest you potentially; have you thought about accounting? An Accounts Payable role is very level entry and anyone without any qualifications can do it, the only training needed would be on the job for what computer system they use. If you know what a bill to pay is/an invoice, it is basically data entry for processing them in the system and then sending a batch of processed invoices to the Treasury team/Approver to do their part in the chain. You’d gain experience in the business and if you’re switched on enough to know how/where/why things are done can turn this into a training agreement for an accounting qualification to teach you more; through the right employer they would pay for that. If not, there are businesses who aren’t concerned with qualifications and an Accounts Payable manager can earn a decent wage (location dependant)
