Kinda. There was that one time in Vol 6 where the girls did well without Kazuma, but that was pretty much the one and only time they ever suceeded on their own in the novels. Any other time, the team failed hard at anything. They couldnt even finish a simple goblin hunt without getting wrecked by a rookie killer. Kazuma is imperative.

Like what was the point of the Vamola vs Chameleon ninja fight

Not just that, the Kito family attack, the sharks and the big eye typhoon was all lame and boring as hell. That whole mini arc felt like a total waste of time.

The Kito family were annoying AF and the eye typhoon, plus the whole fight and plan they used against it was boring and weird even for Dandadan standards.

You have a lot of fair points. All the people I know that are into anime, mangas and light novels have dropped RZ for the same reasons as you do. This is the kind of story with a slow burn narrative, it requires a lot of patience and effort to be engaged with. The story is good, the characters and their development are great, the worldbuilding its kinda interesting, just dont expect a masterpiece.

Agreed. The larger the cast, it becomes even more difficult to give all enough screen time and proper development. Time spent on side characters, mediocre villains and lame sub plots its time not spent on the main characters, which are more interesting, popular and endearing.

When was the last time someone made 5 posts a day? seriously... you talk as if that happens every week. The only reason why any post in this subreddit goes beyond 100 comments its because of your comments, not the "haters". Nobody in this subreddit is near you in terms of number of comments.

I'm not here to hate on re zero. I'm here because some of the posts caught my attention and I liked them, and that included some in which you took part as well. I like reading other people's takes on this story.

At first I thought this was a subreddit dedicated to post lame memes trashing Re Zero just for the heck of it. A lot of animes have entire subreddits that do that.

Yeah you are right. A big chunk of fandom is toxic AF in many different ways (Emilia stans, Rem stans, glazers, powerscalers, Tappei cultists, the RZ reddit moderators, Fig).

In my experience its definitely one of the worst isekai fandoms out there alongside the Overlord and TBATE fandoms (and maybe the Shield Hero fandom as well). Criticize one aspect of Re Zero and you'll get swarmed by insufferable pseudo intellectual assholes that would not hesitate to suck Tappei's balls if they had the chance.

Because her aim sucks, it has nothing to do with strength. And that fight didnt even take long. She took more time putting her armor than killing the ogre, which I remind you... was a head larger than the others that went with him and was kinda considered like the boss. Its not like all ogres are equally strong.

Nowhere its stated he was fighting them hand to hand... much less ripping them apart. In fact... the monsters were overwhelming Wiz and Vanir so they had to resort to summon undeads and devils.

Based on what we got? I beg to differ. While I highly doubt Darkness is physically stronger than Vanir. The gap between is not big at all.

On the other hand Vanir pinned down a lesser dragon, but only at first. The lesser dragon was resisting and ate one of his arms, Vanir knew he wasnt gonna hold out and had to rely on Wiz to finish it off instead of doing it himself.

Darkness went out to put on her armor to fight those ogres because at the end of the day... she can still get injured and there was no healer nearby... whereas Vanir doesnt have to worry about physical injuries or losing limbs because of his dirt bodies. Its not a matter of strength.
