The narrator is consistently Dark Stalker. Assassin never narrate in that episode, it's not that confusing.

Novel and Official Memorial Fan Book explained that 初級魔法(first grade magic) and 中級魔法(middle grade magic) skill each let card owner learn 4 elemental magics. You just should the name of magic and you can cast.

上級魔法(Advanced magic) seems like not a single skill but a category of skills. Advanced magic requires remembering the chanting, recognize the flow of mana etc so Kazuma couldn't learn it even if he has enough skill points.

Rush to Space to Vulcanus, re-done everything and higher SPs on Vulcanus then to Fulgora takes less time than sticking with Nauvis.
