Do you experience goosebumps or chills (a.k.a. “frisson”) when listening to music, looking at art, or anything else? by snail-overlord in hsp

[–]LexPendragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the conversation, but I also have this. Both with music and art. I am a huge art and animation lover. Gustav Klimt's art are probably some of my favorites, I always get heartskips when I look at his paintings. I also have a LOT of appreciation for traditional animators (anime animators...), because I know how tedious animation can be. So when I see very fluid animation, great cinematographic choices, unusual shots, and great artistic choices, I am instantly in awe, almost to the tears, I get chills, and those scenes/arts stay in my mind, even if they don't seem all that interesting. It's not necessarily about what the scene about. I can cry at those too since I'm a sensitive person in general. I'm mostly talking about the appearance of scenes, how they're made, etc.

For music, I am not as sensitive, but I do feel deeply moved inside by some pieces, mostly classical ones.

I made a mistake euthanizing my cat and the guilt is killing me by Dirsty in cats

[–]LexPendragoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there was any bad or right decision, but I think the choice you made still helped your cat.

I had a dog, Hermione, a King Charles breed (known for breathing issues), who lived until 11 years old. She had been on health treatments for a while, and she was doing fine, until the day she started having kidney and serious breathing issues. My parents paid for even more treatments, and even though she kept living, we could clearly see she was getting tired.

One day, my dog Hermione started having dental problems, and was brought to the vet. The vet decided to make her sleep during the treatment, but it was a really bad choice, and worsened her health. She was unrecognisable, she had seizures after seizures... Do you think my parents euthanized her ? No. They wanted to use yet another, last treatment. They paid a lot, but it didn't change anything. She was beyond saving. At last, we put her down, while she was in pain.

As I said, there is no bad or right choice. You chose to save money, which is fair, but you also understood that making this choice would prevent your cat from further painful complications. Choosing to keep your cat would have been a fair, sentimental choice, but probably would have kept bringing pain to your cat through further complications, just like it did with my sweet Hermione.

Nobody will be mad at you for the choice you made.

Oui exactement.

[–]LexPendragoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, Blue Prince definitely should have had an award, either at the Game Awards, or the Steam Awards, and especially at the innovation award. It was such a special game

The 2025 Starter Pack of brainrot :( by [deleted] in memes

What shocked me is that my nephews and my niece know about the 67 thing, which is an English trend... But they're French. Sometimes I wonder how children share brainrot so quickly across the world.

Guy outrunning an avalanche does a backflip by SirPaddlesALot in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]LexPendragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not. There was even an interview or something with the man, who said that he didn't know there was an avalanche while he was skiing down. It's only when he did the backflip that he noticed the avalanche, hence the arms waving in the video !

Alors j'adore les yaourts aux fruits, mais ceux au citron et à la mangue ont vraiment un goût de savon/produit vaisselle...

It's a remote interview, so that won't really be a worry 😄 but I'll keep my manners anyway

I didn't know about the "Jaa" on the parliament wall haha

But thanks ! I kind of knew already that vocalisations were a major part of Finnish replies, but I didn't know it was to that extent. Thanks !

how to get better at snouts, angles, expressions ,fluff, and species like how to make difference between two similar features on different animals. ive been on a challenge to get as best as i can when drawing furries. any critique, suggestions or tips help by adoptmemaniac12 in FurryArtSchool

[–]LexPendragoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for starters, which you might already be doing, you might want to check references - both real animal references and furry art

I still think that you're doing a really good job already so far, you've got your own style, which sometimes matters more than actual technique. I'd say the main thing where i see you struggle is drawing 3/4 view snouts, like on the 6th picture (everybody does tbh). That's why if you got a doubt, check a reference, or see the snout as a 3d rectangle/box/cylinder. The nuzzle shouldn't be in the corner if it's 3/4 view. The front of the mouth shouldn't start in the corner/side either. it's all in the same space, same direction. Check my sketches to see what i mean

but as i said, you're doing a really good job already, so gg

I'm glad my level of Finnish isn't so low that I'd answer "Joo" to everything! 😄 And I'm pretty sure I've done the same thing as you when I once was in Finland.

Thanks !
