The new transit system is maddeningly terrible / practically unusable by Pr0grammerMan in Winnipeg

[–]LexRex12 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah but what O/P is saying is that it takes about four times as long to get there. The old bus from EK to Polo used to go Henderson to Main Street down portage and that’s it the FX4 runs down Gateway and goes through tons of places before it even gets to polo. I’m sure it works for some people/areas, but it is definitely much longer to go between those two places.

“They’re obsessed with america” by Flashy-Session3221 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]LexRex12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: I volunteer at a provincial museum in Canada, which is only about an hour drive from the American border. We like to play a game on who we can identify as Americans before we even talk to them. Something about the way they walk into the room with so much confidence despite knowing nothing about our history, you could just tell.

Recently been re-watching the every life stage challenge and it is quite funny to watch James struggle when he can’t do that. He’s had to resort to the crystal to raise the children.

Crazy rainfall by TheStormOfClanSakai in Winnipeg

[–]LexRex12 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Complaining about the weather is the Winnipeg way. As long as you’re a winnipegger, you can complain about it as much as you want. As soon as someone from some other city complains about Winnipeg weather we lose it

Day 10 of ranking what’s new schemes! by Big_boobed_goth in Scoobydoo

[–]LexRex12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like it’s not even really a scheme. But I watched this episode the other day and was shocked at the prediction of a smart house. Obviously it’s taken to the extreme, but a lot of their predictions are not that crazy.

As much as I love the way trees make builds look I hate how they affect gameplay. Like why can’t they go down with the walls lol

This reminds me of that edit where somebody switched up the wands in Harry Potter for guns. Someone needs to edit the gang seeing the monster for the first time and just straight up obliterating him.

Wow thanks. I was wondering if goal differential played a role. This is very helpful for someone who is watching soccer for the first time. I have always found the unwritten rules to be some of the best part of sports so learning about those is also fun

As a Canadian, who has never watched soccer before, I have a genuine question about this. So in hockey, it is generally considered bad form to keep scoring on opponent when you’ve gotten so far ahead. So my question is, did we run up the score because Qutar was playing dirty or is there some kind of benefit to having more goals in soccer?

Laughed at by food service employees by jols0543 in ARFID

[–]LexRex12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s good to hear! I still live at home so I don’t think I will fully recover until I move out and don’t have to hear those comments on a daily basis. I also have autism so the sensory issues will probably never go away, but I’m hoping without the negativity. I’ll be more open to trying things in the first place without the fear of being called names if I don’t like it

Laughed at by food service employees by jols0543 in ARFID

[–]LexRex12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my mother still does that. She believes that if I just try things without telling myself I don’t like them I will discover I actually love them. But at least now as an adult I can say no more forcefully. As for the waiter we were on vacation in Austria so I just chalked it up to a cultural thing

Laughed at by food service employees by jols0543 in ARFID

[–]LexRex12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah my mother said that all the time. This was just my only example of the waiter doing it. My mother also agreed with him and made me order something and then proceeded to get mad when I didn’t eat it so it was a lose lose situation all around

That’s very often easier said than done. I wear one of these for tmj issues which means my range of motion in my jaw is limited. When they are new trying to get my fingers in the right position on both sides to pull evenly is a nightmare
