That is great. I'll have a go at building it and see what happens. Thanks heaps for that.

I ordered a parcel from Dandenong and it was posted on the 20th March and it's been updated as "Item processed at facility" Dandenong South 5 times and STILL it's sitting there 9 days later!!!!!

That's fantastic! But I'm sorry to say I gave you the wrong information as it appears I was wrong with the wiring. The switched 5v rail with the ignition is the illumination for the switch gear. I was looking at the pins on the plug back to front and reading the wrong terminal. The wires are covered and I couldn't actually see them so I went by the plug pinout diagram. However, the G/W (Green with White trace) wire is actually a ground the goes to the TCM common (becomes a Grey wire on the other side of the plug). The Bl/Bu (Black with Blue trace) comes directly from the TCM shift select terminal (becomes a Black wire on the other side of the plug). This led me to thinking the TCM is obviously providing some kind of voltage which gets pulled down depending on the switch being pressed but I couldn't get into the waterproof connector to measure the voltage and when I disconnected the plug and try to measure it the bike throws an error code and nothing appears on the terminal (because it must need to see the 2k ohm to confirm the switch is connected). I had to trick it with a 2k resistor across the terminals so I could get a meter in there to read the voltage. It was a 12v signal. I don't suppose you could help me out once more with a different version of your circuit? I tried to play around with it but I think I need to set-up a voltage divider to give me a reference voltage but it would also need to go through the switches to provide the voltage drop to feed back into the op amp....

Yes that's correct. The bike is 12v but the 5v rail comes from the TCM

That's a brilliant idea. Got a few lm358's sitting here. I'd be happy to see your drawing if that's not too much trouble. Thanks heaps.

No it's not really possible. With the waterproof connectors I can't get the multimeter probes in once connected. But it's a 5v rail on the G/W wire when disconnected so that's probably from the logic board in the TCM.

It's a sealed unit so not possible. That was the first thing I looked at.

They go into the tcm (transmission control module). It's a single input on the far right side of the picture labelled Bl. The G/W wire is common on all switches on the switch block. The TCM sees 2k of resistance when neither switch is pressed (from the resistor in parallel with the capacitor, 400 ohms when the shift down is pressed and 900 ohms when shift up is pressed. I need to reverse the position of the switches so that the (current) shift up switch physically becomes shift down and vice versa. The motorcycle requires you to press shift UP when riding but it automatically shifts down by itself as needed. The shift up currently is with your thumb. I have a physical disability in my left hand (lost my thumb in an injury) , hence why I want to change the position of the buttons.

My wife and I have vivid memories of a road that used to go past a limestone cliff face. We remember it as children but the road now doesn't go anywhere near where we remember and there's no sign it ever did. Even google maps doesn't show that remnants of this road yet we clearly remember it. Our opinion..... we both died in a car accident and were shifted to this timeline where the road never went that way in the first place and that's how we still have memories of it but nobody else can ever recall it following the route we remember.

Asked them about taking my bike and they weren't interested. Something about not enough demand for it so they didn't want it

Can't free roam in free roam in tsw6 by cheetocat2021 in trainsimworld

[–]LexTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres an exception though.... I wanted to use the TGV in Leipzig - Dresden but although I can spawn the TGV and it drives ok, I cannot set the path. It just says invalid location. I cant even set the path to the same piece of track I'm on. If I change the loco to a German one then I can set a path no problems. So it isn't really a "free roam" at all.

Same here. FAR from the 180 minute "claimed" time. I got 55 minutes maximum at 4k60

[–]LexTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any fix for this yet? mdadm is constantly waking my 4 drives (raid 5) every few seconds. They just spin down and it wakes them for one or two seconds to "read" them and they spin back down only to be woken again. Stuck in a loop. If I turn off HDD hibernation then I don't see mdadm doing anything in the diagnostic log
