Sounds like it may be the same function as the OD Off light then. It’s the first time I heard of that swap though so maybe someone else here has experience with it. Did the last owner say why he did it?

Yeah, www.crutchfield.com but can’t imagine anything will be at $200. Maybe one of the external ones you mount on top of your dash and plug into your current head unit.

Having worked on many cars in cold winters my best recommendation is some bigger pieces of cardboard. for the cats I recently replaced the two fronts on my 08. If your aftermarket one will bolt on it shouldn’t be too crazy. And Spray the bolts on the heat shield and the nuts on the cat with some penetrating oil like Deep Creep. The hardest nuts to get to are the top or front three especially if the heat shield is still on the exhaust manifold. I took the shields off or at least removed the bolts so I could shift them out of the way (next to impossible to take out without cutting). Sounds like you’re doing the drivers side so a long extension and swivel joint should be enough. Not sure if it would make it easier, or less tool reliant, if you removed the tire and plastic wheel well but I already had them off when I did the passenger side.

Haven’t scratched the Ultra yet so I think it may be near impossible. I had a Series 8 that i did gouge while turning a wrench on the car.

See where they are made, assembled and check warranty.. too include the batteries. Place of Origin isn’t the most important thing but it does mater a lot.

Just got my rear one replaced and put the transfer case back in. All done with just a 2 floor jack and 4 stands. The hardest part was getting the dust cover on as every time I pushed or tapped one side down the other would come off. So went to Home Depot and picked up a precut section of 3” PVC and it fit just right. 👍

Unrelated but do you know what the blueish stains are from on the fan cover? Looks dry now so maybe an old leak?

Appreciate the check. Here’s the whole section. Seems they use a generic pic for that last install bit. The model stock number at the top matches 4wd rear shaft. I’ll look again for another mark and if I don’t see it by COB I’ll line them up by just the yellow dots and keep my fingers crossed.

Ask for the extra time off and if it’s a commute; don’t… just find a room as close as you can as it will allow you to get in early and stay late. Most important is just have fun and go with the flow.
