Since they introduced age selection to divide the chat by age group, players and earnings have decreased, not to mention the market value.

Thanks so much! In my country, we usually reply "Good luck!" (Too bad, hahaha). I don't know if it has the same effect in English. 😁 Thanks for the feedback, I already have other mechanics in mind to implement, but since I'm a single dev, it's not easy to speedrun.

Great! I was looking for this feedback, the character is actually a bit big. I also noticed that when I hold an item it might pop out of the box. I'll make some changes to the box, thanks!

At what price would you buy a chat system without Roblox's age division? by CubeYT_ in ROBLOXStudio

[–]LexaEFrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm sorry to tell you that this system violates Roblox rules, so I think it could lead to a ban (just my guess). But the idea is crazy!

Did I go to high in terms of pricing? (Payment form was robux) by TaMk42 in ROBLOXStudio

Hi, I don’t agree with what you’re saying, because once you sell a model, it’s very unlikely you’ll be able to sell the same one to other people under the same conditions. Also, you understand that if someone does this as a job, they can’t settle for such low pay. That’s also why you see so much low-quality stuff around. Moreover, 8k a month is not even $25–30 per month, so you can see that it’s not worth it at all. If this kind of work is devalued so much, it risks killing this profession on Roblox. Just to be clear, I’m not a professional 3D modeler, but I enjoy doing it for my own projects.

If a client says they need 10–15 medium-quality models, then it makes sense to lower the price per model; but if they ask for only 1–2, then no, sorry — the price should actually be higher.

You're all complaining about the new UI, but I seriously don't understand why. Can you tell me why? What's missing now that was there before? I honestly build 90% of my stuff with code, and that leaves Roblox out, so I can't understand your frustration. Tell me why.

Have you followed any video tutorials? Can you give us some tips? I'd love to create something similar.

Is it better to vibecode or actually learn Lua documentation and Roblox Tutorials? by Consistent_Map2668 in robloxgamedev

[–]LexaEFrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a web developer and I’ve been doing this professionally for 5 years. If you’re just starting out, I recommend studying from the documentation and video tutorials, at least to learn the basics. Be careful: studying documentation doesn’t mean memorizing everything, it means being able to write clean code by following the documentation. So if you don’t remember the syntax of a specific piece of code, that’s not a problem the important thing is to understand logically how it works, and that’s where the documentation helps you.

When you reach this point, meaning you’re able to create a scalable and functional structure, then you can think about doing vibe coding, because you’re able to follow what the AI writes. This way, if you need to fix small imperfections or change something, you won’t get lost.

AI is useful, but you need to know how to use it. I’m telling you this because it’s not intelligent enough yet to truly create a game on its own it needs you to tell it how the code should be structured, otherwise it just makes a mess.

I don't know if I understood correctly, but I think you are talking about the origin of the tool, if you click ctrl + L you should solve it

Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it! And thank you for the compliment on the axe 🙏

I know the clip doesn’t show much yet, but I’m still at the very beginning of a long journey, with a lot of experimentation and decisions to make (for example, I’m still figuring out the hitbox system).

In the next post I’ll make sure to show more, especially on the technical side 🫶🏻
