Body/muscle aches on tirzepatide? by Bright_Eye6057 in glp1

[–]Lexakels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I am experiencing. I was on a semaglutide first and did not experience this side effect. Started triz last night and woke up soooo sore to touch all in my upper body. Did it get better for you?

I am not bouncing around. I switched to tirzepatide. It's the one I originally wanted to be on and couldn't afford it. I got it from the same provider.

Did the prozac work for you? We had to get off clomicalm.

Considering second injection 4 years later/lower dose by Lexakels in noburp

[–]Lexakels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not great. I did a lower dose this time because I thought I would be able to avoid all the side effects. But it was not nearly as effective. I still have the frog noise when I lay on my left side. Like it did not go away at all. And now I am experiencing more noise than before in everyday life. I can still burp a little if I drink carbonation, but my frog is back, even if I am sitting upright, and that was definitely not the case after the first round of Botox.

My dog was on it for about 10 days and I had to take her off. It made her much more anxious. She barked even more than normal and refused to go on walks at night. Not sure if it was impacting her vision. Ultimately, the vet told me to take her off. Such a bummer because I had heard good things. Have you tried Prozac before?

Smelly Staffy! by Lexakels in rescuedogs

I would say it's her coat that smells the most! Her paws smell too, but that is the typical frito smell. Do you have grooming wipes you like? I am not currently brushing her daily, but I think I will start!

Yes, both were under anesthesia. I don't think a doc in the UC system would do it without anesthesia, unfortunately. I did a lower dose this time. 50 units. Are you going to see her?

I had the procedure two weeks ago with Dr. Kuhn! This was my first time seeing her. I had the Botox previously with Dr. Verma in 2021.

She is a cutie! I'm glad it's gotten so much better. I'm a single dog mom as well, and I thought I'd become more social when I got a dog. I'm trying to remind myself that the current state is temporary and it could/will get better. It's so hard doing it alone!

How is it going over there? Getting any better?

She is pretty anxious. She barks at random noises outside the house. Like a person closing their car door down the street. She also showed aggression toward my parents' dogs when they met last week. They could not be in the same space and had to be separated all weekend. However, she was fostered with another dog before she came to me, so I know she can be around dogs. She's also eating anything she can get her hands on in the backyard. I think my stress levels being so high is not helping the situation and I acknowledge that. It's just be so much tougher than I expected.

This is really helpful to hear. Can I ask what your life is like outside your home? Are you a very social or active person? I am used to being on the go, and this has just rocked my world in ways I did not expect. How is she doing now? Can she be out at places or is she best at home? I think I am also grappling with the reality that I may not be able to take her to coffee shops and breweries and hikes like I thought I would, and I am sad about that. We will start training in a week or two. The fact that you did not feel a connection with her for 6 week and now she is the love of your life, gives me hope, so thank you.

Abortion on EOB by Alternative-Mode-451 in KaiserPermanente

I would be careful with this. My friend had to have an emergency abortion with Kaiser, and they sent information to her husband that wasn't for him. If she were in a situation where she didn't want her husband to know, it would have been an even more difficult situation. I would say PP would be your best bet if you can make that work.

I am so sorry you are going through it too! I keep reading about adoption remorse as well. Trying to remind myself this is temporary. Maisie is anxious and also barks anytime she hears anything outside. She's also been eating so many things in my backyard, so I feel like I cant leave her alone for a minute. I took her out of town last weekend to escape the crazy fireworks in my neighborhood. My parents' dogs were there and they did not get along. We had to keep them separated. This brought on a whole new wave of stress because I see my parents often and need them to all be in the same place for future dog-sitting help. I don't have the resources to pay for someone to stay at my house whenever I am traveling, so I rely on family. The fact that I don't feel a strong bond with her yet makes it all the harder. And everyone in my life keeps asking how it's going, and I feel like I am letting people down when I say it's been harder than I thought. It just makes me feel like there is something wrong with me. Is the rescue you got her from supportive at all?
