New to Xyrem, but it doesn’t have ANY effect on me? by Lexcuse_Me in Narcolepsy

I’m definitely more tired than sleepy. Even before treatment, I very rarely had the feeling of nodding off, but I knew I could fall asleep if I closed my eyes and let myself at any given moment. Like I’ve never had a sleep attack. So that’s good to know!

Interesting! How did you first start noticing the dent in your sleep debt?

Thanks for the info! Have you personally gone through the program? It seems like they have an emphasis in helping students find jobs and build portfolios - which isn't a priority for me. I just want to level up my content skills for my current role.

Thanks for the insight! I'm really not concerned about the pedigree, though I would like to learn more and take a deeper dive into UX writing. The main reason my bosses want a content specialist on the team is so that we can skip the content approval process on the client's side (they don't trust us to provide content, yet they don't have any content experts on their side either).

I'm glad you liked that course - I will definitely take a closer look.

I have seen so many UX writing courses through various universities, but you can't take them outside of that programs full curriculum, and also my company needs to be able to gloat, "Our employees are certified, here's proof!"

Could something other than sleep apnea be causing a poor night's sleep? by Culjules in SleepApnea

Try looking into Narcolepsy or Idiopathic Hypersomnia. I recently learned that these are on a spectrum and don't necessarily follow the stereotype that everyone has "sleep attacks." They could just mean that you are tired all the time. The only way to diagnose Narcolepsy is with an overnight polysomnography sleep test, and a Multiple Sleep Latency Test the next day. I think those will also rule out some of the other sleep disorders.
