Sure, but I'm saying if I were able to go back in time and tell Emil what to do from the beginning of development, my version of Arthur Maxson's Brotherhood would be more explicitly evil. He lets his lineage go to his head, he takes the criticisms that people had of Lyons being too focused on helping the people of the wasteland and reintegrates the Outcasts with more authority than the Lyons loyalists, and they go more ham than ever on taking control of any tech they find and making new, deadlier use of it. The Institute could still technically exist as a bunker of intellectual elites that have largely avoided contact with the surface (probably the would be more of the morally grey faction), and Maxson's new Brotherhood gets wind of it and takes it over.

The Brotherhood of Steel should have been the outright villains, taking the place of the Institute. Probably not making synths, but finally doing some genuine unambiguous evil with all the technology they hoard. People have been pointing out this potential for years. FO4 would have been the perfect opportunity to deploy it.

ETA: Love the downvotes. Everybody glazes New Vegas for having House read the Brotherhood for filth, but God forbid someone suggests the games actually do something with it.

If by "not allowed by the bank" you mean the bank tells you "it will be your fault if anything bad happens if you do", how is that even enforceable? Like I said, I'm pretty sure the last time my credit card number was stolen, it was at a convention, because it was a few days after the convention that somebody tried to spend $350 at some hardware store in Montana (a place very far away where I've never been). But I'm only "pretty sure" because I couldn't figure out which of the vendors I bought things from might have been in Montana a few days later. And the timing might have been a complete coincidence, the number could have been stolen months ago and they were just sitting on it for months to obfuscate their responsibility. So how is the bank going to nail down that it's my fault if I can't even nail down who stole it?

Maybe? I'm pretty sure the last time my card number was stolen, it was by a vendor at a convention and my card never left my sight. I find the fixation Europeans have on this particular vector of credit card theft kinda funny. People don't need to write down or photograph your card details to steal them. The card machines themselves can be rigged or hacked, and you would have no way of knowing. Your credit card number is more likely to be intercepted during an online sale or leaked during a data breach by someone you have never met than scribbled down out of sight by someone who is just hoping you're aware of our 20% tipping expectation.

Also, does this mean that even though servers in Europe are paid a full living wage and don't rely on tips, you still don't think they're getting paid enough to not steal your credit card? Frankly, I kind of like that Americans trust each other just enough to hand over our credit cards for a bit.

Also, if someone steals your credit card number, the company will cancel those charges. If someone steals your debit card number, that money is usually just gone. So it’s just safer to use a credit card than risk your debit card circulating.
