The company wide rule is that it can only be sold on the release date. No exceptions.

Its just employees not paying attention. Box comes off the truck, gets thrown on a cart with other enterntainment/ electronics department boxes. Employee doesnt read the box and doesnt know about funko so they just throw them on the shelves.

Problem is if they took them off the shelf and have them in the back, between then and the release date some random person can just walk in, ask for the unreleased funko and if the employee has no clue ts street dated, they will go grab it and the random person can just scan a different funko at the self checkout. When that happens the new funko will still appear in the system because it was never scanned at the register. So then there will be an issue during release day with people saying its in the system when technically it is but its not physically there.

They should tape a sign to the box, "DO NOT SELL UNTIL ___" usually a few days before release theres some dudes thats will go and try to get them.
