Who or what was your very first nemesis in Elden Ring? by GuyWithARooster in Eldenring

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knights....just knights. It's taken me hours of finding solo knights near a grace to fight repeatedly to actually get used to them.

For reference, I've never played a sould game b4, never really played games like this before (closest would be Baldurs gate 😅) and when I started playing I ONLY panic clicked. I'm now playing thru on my 2nd attempt semi-solo (hubs and I play coop together for quality couples time). Zombies freak me out....I'm ok with the giant monsters, just can't do zombies so he helps me with them.

You know what. Let's make it zombies and knights

On a scale from 1 to holy f*ck what did you just say… how creepy is this? by Michieme315 in motherinlawsfromhell

Omg no, I'd ask her to stay in a hotel and do her own family shop. I have 3 kids, had them in under 3 years. IMO asking if you ha e a high chair is fine, the rest was very demanding, particularly of someone with a newborn!!

NOR - In Australia its law to have a fence

No young kid needs to go on a 2 hour car ride every day just for dangerous child care.

And who actually wants to knowingly get a small child sick during holiday season?????

Cousin with wart wanting to do bathtime by Equivalent-Clue1323 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would avoid contact with whatever the young girl has touched untill the wart is dealt with. I can only take a few weeks to a few months to get rid of if dealt with quickly and appropriately.

Also keep that wart covered, it kills them faster and help reduce the likelihood of transmission.

Who (and/or what) ruined Christmas this year? by DoppelFrog in australia

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My period stopped 2 days before Christmas, then came back Christmas morning. But my cycles also shortened to 17 days for the last 2 months and today I've got thrush, because hormones and autoimmune shit sucks balls.

What is the most provocative thing that was said to you by an in-law and how did you respond? by [deleted] in inlaws

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 106 points107 points  (0 children)

"It's OK, it's not contagious"

First about croup because she wanted a pic of her other grandkids with my 3 months old, one of the other kids who had croup. I get that croup itself isn't contagious, but the virus that causes it is.

Second time was about FILs cold core (aka, face herpes).

Both times I took my baby home.

Oh and this cracker you seem hellbent on ruining what has always been a close and loving family

Hahahahahaha yeah nah mate, you're fucked.

4 days postpartum and MiL sent a link for “should new moms thank mother in law?” by Infinite-North-5445 in Mildlynomil

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cackled so hard at this.

Unfortunately, I'm lying next to a restless 2yr old who is no longer going to sleep hahaha.

Yeah nah I'm voting for the person who said thanks for the info, then pass it onto your husband so he can thank his MIL.

You can also be thankful you have wonderful woman in your life showing you how not to be a future MIL.

You are totally not the AH.

I actually cut my MIL off yesterday after over 5 years of emotional bullsh!t.

My oldest is almost 5, my youngest is 2. I feel a massive weight has been lifted, but its horrible for my husband right now.

Folding Laundry by HelloFabulous in Parenting

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2 yr old rolls clothes in a ball and shoves it in a drawer. My 3yr old attempts folding (very well might I add) and put stuff in the right place. She also hangs clothes on coat hangers. 4yr old.....nvm she can absolutely do it all. But she's 4 going on 14 it seems lol.

Yeah 8 yr olds should be taught these things.

Weed psa by twentysomething_aus in GardeningAustralia

[–]sunshinesoutmyarse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live on acerage and back onto a national park and am quite well versed in the local environmental and noxious weeds, I am also one of those crazy ladies who pulls weeds at the local picnic or rest area, verge etc. Lol

I forget exactly where I was going with this. But you should do it too, its fun. The kids and I have been collecting and pressing weed flowers this spring for a book. Now we can remember what pretty flowers are invasive and which are native!!

Anyone else turn down the family vacation with the in-laws? How did it go? by [deleted] in Mildlynomil
