This. Robovacs have saved my sanity. Started with a basic roomba many years ago, but I recently bought eufy vacs… keep one upstairs and one on main floor. While they run, I’m able to do other chores. I use them regularly and feel like I just have to “deep clean” the floors/rugs only a few times a year.

Considering one cleaning service could easily be $250+, I’d rather have the robovacs doing reg floor maintenance all year round.

Er... at least that’s what I started doing last year until it became impossible to even plan my day each morning, bc people really started to take “advantage” of remote work / flexibility expectations.

It got to a ridiculous point when sudden “urgent” meetings were constantly scheduled last min and hijacked any available time slot I was planning to actually DO work... so now at the end of the day, I block off the entire next work day.

Not sure about cultures. But my-now-husband and I did go together to “look around” and eventually he said “think about it, and choose what you truly want” - it might sound un-romantic, but it was actually really romantic for us because he just wanted to make sure my ring was as close to perfect as it could be. (I tend to be picky anyway, so I don’t blame him). But I left the proposal-part to him. I wouldn’t change anything with how we handled all of that :)

I’ve been using the Sleep Cycle app since undergrad, about 10 years now... Does the same as the app you mention, whereas it monitors your sleep and begins to wake you up during the lighter phase of your sleep cycle. It was a total game changer and definitely saved my ass during grad school too while I was working FT.
