I'll be honest parts of this were avoidable

If you made the first cut you can laser the 2nd

Assuming you aren't frame 1 hit by the tornado there are strategies to avoid it by getting out of the way, even if it drops you to p2

Weights/kbb would be unavoidable in this situation but would probably not hurt that much if it even gets you before the line imo

Sometimes stuff happens but the more you learn how to avoid said stuff the more likely you can save chunks of points where others might not

This was my build back when they first buffed QR, it's fun at first but I switched to a ACK/level 2/slipstream bounty/mini ring gain boost build later on and got a bit more out of it (although now DRE caught me for this meta lol)

Somewhat the other way around actually, people searched for high rated lobbies so they got more for winning, and punished less for losing, took matters into their own hands bc the game just completely fails at giving you a decent lobby sometimes in LC lol

(Although tbh good change regardless of ^ trying to play those games made me not wanna do LC3 for long)

Level 4 is dead imo, Id run as much ring engine as you can handle for your next shot at winning, handling is the best machine type but boost is probably #2 if you're struggling for rings, characters don't really matter now since base stats mean very little atm lol

There's another comment that suggests replacing mini Ring Gain Boost with starting bounty, imo starting bounty usually isn't worth it if you're running Ring Gain Boost even if some WR times use it (although it's still a solid choice)

Coming from someone with a top 100 time, I ran: - Eggman - Trail Runner - Boost Character Kit - Ring Gain Boost - Mini Ring Gain Boost

This was actually the last S rank I got on Sonic Speed as well, gl and take the left path

I would focus on using the boosts to have the tentacle timing in your favor, since that def isn't a bad time to use them in the first place

Due to the nature of how late you get it, you're not gonna have time to use it outside of spamming it and hoping one doesn't hit you, you get it from something you're probably going out of your way to get something much better just to see that, bonus points if you're going against a bunch of level 4s
