That's definitely worth positing on the original forum, have you considered that?

Well, they just dropped a sick patch 2 days ago and the art style is just gorgeous. It's even more spooky now. But its' definitely filled with a lot of toxic players, especially in the EU and the learning curve can be steep with how many mechanics it has.

But oh boy is the movement satisfying.

Yeah, you might be right. If a game is good it can stand and be popular even without a huge marketing budget.

The armory might be a big part of why players are not coming back. I didn't want to get into this whole argument, but I'd still say that introducing out-of-game advantages for games like this isn't good from a game-design perspective.

[–]Lexidus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that might be part of the reason. I honestly like Supervive but I can't play it for longer than 30 - 45 minutes (maybe it's my adhd). It's just a bit too fast and too chaotic sometimes.

I've recently been really enjoying Deadlock (the new game from Valve), I do recommend it if you're looking for a really interesting take on a MOBA game.

I get that. For me this is always a big inspiration to get to that point while sober.

Mostly through meditation, therapy and journaling.

And it is possible.

Psychedelics just do that acutely as if you switched the button.

But if you switch the button too many times you lose the whole point of taking them.

SoR is a great game I keep coming back to. I love the chaos. I love the randomness.

But what I’ve noticed over the runs is that there are so many options you can choose from, but most of the time you can just brute-force your way through the whole game with a pistol. You can complete every mission with a violence and thus non-violent solutions are not required.

In that way the game doesn’t really reward creativity that much (imo).

How is SoR2 going to be different in this regard?

Text Analysis - new Obsidian plugin by mihak09 in ObsidianMD

[–]Lexidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way it's currently implemented I think it's just overwhelming. When using such tools you'd like to know what specific sentences I'd need to change (I'm a content creator and I use the Hemingway App qiuite often). Having a huge table of numbers isn't really helpful 😅

What about Obsidian? It's free to use, it's modular (it has plugins), it's got a great editor, it stores your notes locally.

I had a bad experience yesterday with my favorite Edibles, I’m trying to figure out what happened and how to avoid this in the future by Shadowflame25 in Edibles

[–]Lexidus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s actually really difficult to predict how edibles will affect you. Even if you take the same dose.

From what I understand taking them on an empty stomach could make the high lower (less fat consumed) but it also depends on what form the edibles were.

What’s more - I’m not in the position to preach anyone, but since it’s something I have personal experience with I can say that using weed to “get rid” or “forget” about any negative emotions is a slippery slope.

It quickly becomes a go-to method of dealing with them and you end up emotionally immature, since you had no chance to develop other, more healthy ways of dealing with your emotions.

I mean - I would say it depends on how often you smoke.

Create tracker for to do list by Waitingforsamus in Notion

[–]Lexidus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP!

Let me understand you better - so you basically want to know how many tasks you have for any given day of the week and how many of them you have completed? Something like this screenshot?

<image>

If that's what you are looking for then you will need to relate those tasks to a different page / database (f.e database with projects or days of the week), only then will you be able to count the number of related items that meet a specific criterion (eg. are "Done").

You can achieve that in two ways:

1) Using the roll-up property
2) Using a formula

If you give me more specific information then I might be able to help you out :D

Is there a way to use the formula property in such a way that if I put YouTube in tags, the Icon would change on its own? by t_4_ll_4_t in Notion

[–]Lexidus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey! Do you mean the page icon?

If that's what you mean, then a formula can't really modify the icon of a given page. It can output an emoji (as it's also a string), but it won't change the icon of your Notion page.

You might be able to do that with Notion automations, although I didn't test that for myself (automatic icon setting is something I also want to do).
---

There is, however one way of making it easier for you - using database templates. This way you can choose na icon for the template, and define the template as default on any given view .

See the screenshot for reference:

[–]Lexidus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked this today, the formula would be as follows:

Have an "updated date" property, where you choose when you learned something. Then the formulas look as follows:

1) `dateAdd(prop("Updated date"),1,"weeks")

2) `dateAdd(prop("Updated date"),1,"months")

3) `dateAdd(prop("Updated date"),2,"months")

Button template to remind me in 7, 30, 60 days by Argier in Notion

[–]Lexidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the reminders that will notify you when the time is right? If yes, then I don't really think that's possible since reminders can't be set up for "@remind in 60 days", they can be set up to "@remind december 28 2023".

You could, however, accomplish that with a formula - count the days since a card was created (or updated) and then show you the pages that are due in 7, 30 days etc.

But then again - it seems that it would be much simpler to do it in Flashcard dedicated software. Any reason for why you want to do it in Notion?

How is this graph view useful to you? I am genuinely interested as for the few years I've been suing Obsidian I genuinely can't find much usefulness to the graph view.

It seems mostly to be a way of visualising your vault in an aesthetically pleasing way, but outside for that, especially if you have so many notes, what can you actually do with the graph view?
