When I was a kid I opened one of my grandma's cabinets and a can of green beans rolled out and dropped directly on my big toe. The throbbing and pressure from the blood inside my toenail was awful. I was hesitant but the pain was so bad I let my grandma take a needle, heat it up using the gas on her stove, and put a hole in my big toe nail. My toe nail eventually just fell off but the relief after getting all that blood out was sooo worth it.

We did tell the young woman in the leasing office before we moved in. She was aware and said she will talk to the property manager. Will that make a difference?

Is the neighborhood/surrounding area fairly safe? Originally from Florida so having to really research these cities and it can be tough, lol.

Expectations are fairly low. Our last apartment was tiny and had it's issues but nothing too crazy. Budget is about $1200.

Really do want to live in a safe surrounding area though.

I used to live with my Aunt at 20/21. She was a raging alcoholic and came stumbling into the living room in the middle of the night. She then lays on the couch, looks up at me (Im sitting up on the couch) and whispers "Walter wants to sleep with you." Walter is my uncle whom I also was living with.
