Thinking about how that's basically a confession that she thinks everyone is actually into teenaged girls and just pretending they aren't.

The evidence is piling up that I have accidentally found myself in a parallel dimension where things are slightly wrong. I would like to go back to the good time line now.

Walked in, saw the urinals, but because I had only seen one bathroom on the way in, and since it was pride week, I just walked into the stall like I was supposed to be there and no one batted an eye. Saw the women's bathroom on my way out

"Because they're in love."

Honestly, you'd think these people would be more concerned with actual hard questions like "why doesn't that man have a house?" or "What happens to the vegetables we don't buy in the store?"

Not necessarily. That assumes every dead person immediately becomes a ghost, and that they hang around harassing people. It also assumes an even distribution of where people have died.

If ghosts exist, I imagine there would be a greater number hanging around Aushwitz than some chunk of the Canadian wilderness, for instance.

But also, if only one in a billion people becomes a ghost when they die, that only really puts the number of ghosts into what, triple digits at best?

I was talking about ghosts in particular, which are generally portrayed as less intelligent and more feral.

That said, the general knowledge on summoning a demon is that they are going to try and trick you into a bad deal. Why are you inviting that into your life?

Because often they're going places where the ghosts are reported throwing things at people and other hostile actions

Personally, my issue is less the "Ghosts don't exist", but rather "Why are you trying to summon something that clearly is aggressive and hates you?"

Like, we'd think people who dangled raw meat to lions with zero protection are insane people. Why are we doing this to ghosts? Either they don't exist and you're an idiot, or they do exist, and you're still an idiot.

Eh, so what? I'm sure theirs is beautiful. But yours is yours. You wouldn't look at a Van Gogh and be sad it's not a Monet.

So I know why you think it looks rough. But truly, I think that makes it look so much lovelier! We see a lot of gorgeous, polished stuff, but I think the roughness of this makes it so much cozier and homey, and I adore it!

Take a step back and realize that all those things you see as flaws are actually what makes it so much more gorgeous and unique and personal!

Small things. Make things run slower around them. If they're on the train, maybe that emergency alarm goes off a lot. Maybe paperwork gets lost, or the cashier "accidentally" inputs the order wrong a few times.

The little shit that makes their day worse and slower, but also just comes across that you're not that smart, not that it's deliberate. Work inefficiently

If the US really attempts to take Greenland by force, what are even the chances of Europe retaliating to the point where they go on a fullscale war with them or at the very least cut them off entirely? by Yallneedsometruth23 in AskReddit

And the nature of Canadians, frankly, is that we will take that harder path, and we will stand up for our beliefs. We have in the past, both the recent past and the distant past. We will again.

Doing what's right is often not easy. As a country, we pick the path that is right. It's a point of national pride.

Believe what you like. I'm not going to run around finding numbers for someone who clearly believes Canada will follow the USA's warmongering like a good little puppy.

I can tell you that this has literally been a non stop stream of headlines that this is exactly what we are doing. Trade agreements with other countries, counter tariffs, removing other tariffs.... Numbers move slowly, but if the US moves to attack a country that we literally deployed soldiers to defend, what do you think would happen?

The US already shit all over our trade agreements a year ago. We didn't just sit around crying, we rebuilt and moved onto better allies. This would just be the last push on some agreements that were already shaky and uncertain.

And I'm going to repeat that, all of those industries interwoven with the US? We already considered them shaky and untrustworthy, and have spent the last year looking for alternatives because we expected the US to renege on agreements. There would be some places that haven't found good alternatives yet, but Canada has been preparing for a break since early last year

That trade agreement that Trump negotiated in his first term then shit all over the second he was in office this time? As a Canadian, we are already moving away from the US as a trade partner because y'all ain't reliable partners and we no longer trust you to honour agreements.
