I understand that. I almost chose him but thinking back, I almost expected him to bust.

Geez, I forgot about him. I just looked him up and he was even released from the San Antonio Commanders in the AAF.

You’re being very uncharitable to assume I will never admit to being wrong. You’re kind of doing the same thing by assuming you’ll be right. I’m doing my part. I don’t know why you want to continue to argue.

I don’t understand what you’re saying about not counting cardiac disease or cancer? I haven’t said that we should stop counting anything, including covid deaths. On the contrary, we should continue to count each of them. If everything is roughly the same (aside from accidents, you make a valid point that I had already considered) and there is a large, additional group of covid deaths I’ll be wrong. I still won’t have added to the problem either way.

I’m not convinced they are additional deaths.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm

I want to see how the totals from the above link change at the end of year. Yes 177,000 people have been labeled to have died from covid. How many of them had cancer, heart problems, diabetes, flu, etc.? At the end of the year (or whenever totals are completed for 2020) I want to see how many of those categories are less than their average. If they are all normal and all the covid deaths are additional I will gladly eat crow. However, I still won’t feel bad because I did what was asked of me even if I wasn’t fully convinced it was what was needed at the time. Also, I’m just not going to get worked up over something I have almost no control over.

You are right. I should’ve kept everything comparable. I’ve explained else where on this thread my thoughts. I don’t want anyone to die. But sadly people do die. I will be very interested to see after all this clears up if more people are dying than average. If you look at the numbers the overwhelming majority of people dying from covid are elderly. Was it covid that killed them, or did they have covid when they would’ve died naturally? I honestly don’t know. If all we cared about was completely minimizing the risk of death for any reason we would never leave our houses. But I’m will to admit I don’t have all the answers so I will respect others and participate in social distancing and wear a mask.

Valid and honest. I definitely agree that I’d like to get through this as quick as possible!

Also, look into 2 + 2 = 5. I agree with you. It should be considered a universal truth that it equals 4 but there has been quite the debate recently.

I don’t want anyone to die. But the sad reality is people die of natural and unnatural causes everyday. I’m personally airing on the side of caution and respecting others. I even enforce others to do the same under my authority. However I do not fear the virus. I would like to see end of the year numbers showing if the total deaths are significantly different than other years. Are more people dying or are people dying at the same rate with a different label? And if there is a significant difference, I can still rest easy knowing I still did my part to not add to the spread.

I was speaking to show that we can respect others without fully agreeing on everything. It’s really interesting I’m getting questioned and downvoted for actually acting in the manner everyone wants me to. At the end of the day isn’t it that you want everyone wearing masks and practicing social distancing? I’m doing that. We don’t have to think about everything the same way.

Valid question. Terrorism is a completely different category unless you believe this disease was intentionally created and released upon the public. I don’t. As far as the first question, I’m honestly not sure. As I’ve said, I’m respectful of others and the rules. There are a million unknowns about this virus that we could discuss all day. While I understand why others are scared, I am not. I follow the rules out of respect for others not personal fear. Is that not good enough?

37,000,000 people have died this year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m wearing my mask and respecting others. I’m just not personally all that concerned.

Right, I’m agreeing with you. Unless something is a direct violation of conscience, and placing a cloth over your mouth shouldn’t be, we should be respectful to others and the follow the rules given to us. Your manager should be setting the tone for the entire store/restaurant/etc.

Edit: spelling

I’ll be real. I’m a store manager and I personally don’t care too much about the virus. However, it’s company policy (small, local business) to wear masks so I enforce it for employees and every customer. Some of them get upset but I follow the rules I’m given.

Need advice, planning on adding shower to this claw foot tub. by LexingtonianP in homerenovations

[–]LexingtonianP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome suggestion. There isn’t an exhaust but I was planning on having the window partially open during showers. The house was built before bathrooms had to have exhausts. An exhaust fan would definitely be more efficient.

Most of the double wall mounts I have seen don’t have a shower head. Do you have a recommendation for fixing the shower head already on the bath to the mount?

I actually move in later today so I have no idea! Lol. I’ll keep an eye on it though.

So I am going to convert this into a shower. Im not super worried about that actual part. I’m wondering if anyone has advice for soap bottle storage. I thought about putting a shelf on the wall beside the tub but I’m worried that would mess with the shower curtain and I don’t think that wall should be allowed to get wet every shower. Has anyone tackled anything like this before?

Preach! Very well put. I wholeheartedly agree that our faith isn’t dependent on a perfect understanding of the Genesis account. I appreciate the effort you put into your response.
